From what I understand, the intention is to evenly distribute between the top 30. However, this changes over time, because some coins grow faster than others, meaning that a larger share of the asset pool can be accredited to a specific coin. That is why every once in a while the coin is rebalanced back to 3% each.

I believe the trading software they are currently developing is also meant to keep a even distribution of all coins in the asset pool.

I am not dev, but:
The amount of TRIA tokens is fixed. Tokens were created only for the ICO period. No new TRIA token will be created. I hope this token will become a rarity soon.  Smiley

The tokens sold on the site are only combicoins. If you enter with 5000USD, you will receive approx. 5000 USD worth of combicoin. The USD you invest is mostly used to buy the top 30 tokens to be held, because combicoin is asset- backed.

I am curious, does anyone know what caused the massive drop in value yesterday and the day before?
I would think that (even though it is a very volatile market) it is strange CombiCoin fell from 17.20 USD to 13.57 USD in just 24 hours. Because it is backed by the top 30, did all the backing coins drop so dramatically?

Luckily it is already recovering fast!  Cheesy

Yes.
The initial cost was 10$, but you also received TRIA tokens for it. Those represent earning in the future (dividends). So with the ICO you are getting a bit less value for the COMBI token, but you have higher upside if the team is successful (through the TRIA token).

The price of COMBI tokens has dipped because of 2 reasons:
- Dev. team needs money to set everything up, so they took out around 10%. That was the purpose of the ICO. In exchange the investors get the TRIA tokens.
- In the general crypto market, alt-coins are not doing well because of the Bitcoin forks.

I'm quite happy with the coin so far. I hope that alts will moon after the Segwit 2x fork, then COMBI will soar high in the sky.
I'm mostly bullish on BTC long term, but for me COMBI is a good hedge and complements my BTC holdings.


Why do you think that the Segwit2x will cause the alt coins to skyrocket?
