Dammit man, did you even do a search and see that there is already a Diamoncoin project in the works before releasing this?
Well, I am still going to release my coin anyway, it has been in the works since April. I wish people would look around first to see what is out there, if you do a search for diamondcoin on google the first 4 results that pop up are mine.
Should a pre-announce? or should call them Diamond-1, Diamond-2, and Diamond-3?  I didn't release it yet because there were 50 million coins being released every day, I was trying to wait until it calmed down a bit. Looks like that is not going to happen. Lol nobody knows anything about your project. Releasing it with the same name now that this one is out is just going to kill both coins instantly. Do what you want it doesn't matter to me, just telling you though its doomsday for both if you do the same name Well the first thing I do when I have an idea is do a simple Google search and see what's already out there, it's good practice to do this. So, either the OP did the search and decided to copy my idea intentionally or he did not do his due diligence which makes him a bit inept. I agree, releasing my coin now will probably screw everything up for both of us. But I have spent a lot of time and money on getting this project going so I guess I will still release it and see what happens. You should change name, seems a bit late now. I can't see a positive outlook of keeping the same name. It sucks, but what else can you do. Well since my project is basically screwed now because I tried to do the right thing and release a coin the right way, I basically have 3 options, first is to not release my coin after many hours of work getting the website up and running, the forums up and running, a twitter account, a facebook account, a google+ account, buying the domains, paying for hosting, etc. Or second, I could just give up on my coin, I can not change the name as I have everything already basically completed with the Diamondcoin name. Or 3rd, I sell off my right to the website, forums, etc to this person if they want it. Option 2 is off the table. Option 1 is what I plan on doing. If it screws up both coins then so be it, they should have done a little bit of due diligence beforehand. |

I can not understand Ripple so I won't use it. Period. And if I am having such a hard time, the average Joe will not even come close to understanding it. How can something no one understands completely become popular?
