7  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Has anyone been able to send a transaction using Electrum/ Electron Cash so far? on: November 17, 2017, 06:37:08 AM
I also had trouble with this shit - Electron Cash. As user HCP had adviced I disabled 2FA in new Electrum wallet (2.9.3) and opened it in Electron (2.9.3). After many "server doesn't response" errors it sent test transactions to "bitcoin.com" and Bittrex wallets.
I've noticed that first try to send BCC just after opening Electron is more likely to be successfull. So I tried opening and sending it many times. Some of them were broadcasted, most didn't. But those who did appeared in "bitcoin.com" and Bitterx wallets.
Hope my experience will help you.
Your problem is that BCH recently had a HardFork... and you need to be using v2.9.4 of ElectronCash... I think a lot of the servers won't play nice with ElectronCash v2.9.3... so make sure you update to v2.9.4 for ElectronCash

Newest versions of Electrum seem to have a few little "bugs"... so if you're messing around trying to disable 2FA etc on Electrum, I would suggest v2.9.3

Good advice, always use the latest versions before you make a transaction. Better be safe than sorry.

MEW is great, easy and user friendly. But be careful of phishing sites always double check the url you are going to, plenty of scammers out there trying to steal your precious tokens!
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you using Bitcoin Cash? on: November 16, 2017, 03:31:34 PM
Not really using it, it's there because someone had BTC so they can claim it.

It has had some great support price-wise lately. Just keeping an eye on it but I personally trust Core more than any other fork.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gold (BTG) on: November 16, 2017, 03:29:58 PM
There is a new trend now of forking Bitcoin... Yes some of the forks have different things from the original but do you guys seriously believe they will ever be successful?

I'm just observing to see how things develop, remember not all that shines is gold...
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves Vs. Ethereum on: November 16, 2017, 03:25:53 PM
Waves can't really be compared to Ethereum. The good thing about Waves is that it offers a nice way to create these kind of tokens because it incorporates an interface to do all these various stuff instead of having to write the code yourself, but this all comes with some drawbacks, such as limited customization from the part of the platform. Ethereum from the other hand offers an end to end way to create your own token and your own ecosystem which is customizable based on your specific desires, instead of following the way that Waves wants you to do. This is the reason why so many projects are choosing Ethereum over Waves as well, it just offers much more customization and that's attractive for any serious intended project.

I tend to agree, Waves has great community support but have yet to see any meaningful development recently.

On the other end Ethereum has the greatest developer community out there. It is hard to match.

19  Other / Off-topic / Re: Amd ryzen or intel ? on: November 01, 2017, 02:59:33 AM
Depends on your budget really, AMD may work out cheaper including the motherboard too. Intel are usually faster but more expensive.
