I can't wait to see the stats and see how it is all going! I'm glad you are working hard, but don't push yourself to insanity!

Side note: Finally out of newbie jail! Now I can keep up with what all is going on. Woot! Smiley

I first found out about bitcoins after the $30 crash, during its recovery. I remember that I thought it was absurd when bitcoins hit $10/coin. I sold tons of the coins I bought earlier. Now I realize how much of a noob I was then. I now realize Bitcoin's power rather than just bitcoin.

I can't wait to see what the future holds and I can only hope I look back at this from a few year from now to say "I was still a noob then." I love learning about this stuff and I can only try as hard as I can to become good enough at programming to be able to do what Gavin does.

Lab Rat says that he is working on getting a new website setup. It is going to be one he builds himself rather than using some other service.

Be sure to consult a mining calculator (like http://www.bitcoinx.com/profit/) before making any hardware purchases. Be sure to take into account that the difficulty is still going up very quickly.

If you are using blockchain.info, I'd also install their browser extension to be sure that the javascript on their page hasn't been altered. You can find it: here. (Past the annoyingly large image.)

Thank you very much! This is going to take forever to go through, but I will read it all!

Is there anything other than source code that I can read? Like a guide or tutorial? I realize that this is a difficult subject and that isn't likely, but I just wondered.

Or maybe even just some general programming topics I need to know before I even try. ( I know I'll need to know public/private key encryption before I start)

Hello, I'm yet another newbie. I've done BitCoin mining for over a year now (so I know how to do basics), but would like to get into programming with BitCoin. I've looked around a good bit, but I can't find any good BitCoin programming tutorials or guides. If anyone around here could help point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated! Smiley

I know basic C,C#, Java, and server side languages.
