1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: June 12, 2013, 11:30:28 PM
Quoted from the bitcoin site:

Quote
The difficulty is the measure of how difficult it is to find a new block compared to the easiest it can ever be. It is recalculated every 2016 blocks to a value such that the previous 2016 blocks would have been generated in exactly two weeks had everyone been mining at this difficulty

So a difficulty increase every 11 days seems a bit odd to me.

Have you tried mining litecoins with this machine? Because I highly doubt it will be able to cope with the heath production.

i got corporate laptop HP ProBook 4740s with 7500/7600M and pulling 60-65 MH/s (77 °C)

if it was my own laptop i would use it with bout 45 MH/s around 60°C which isn't that bad

Thats  not bad for a laptop, it is bad if you plan to spend $850 (the approximate price of that laptop) on a mining machine.

Don't have that card so I can't test if it helps, but you could provide a patch to make it even easier to implement.

Just look at the mining hardware sites. Let compare the 7970 and the 7970m. First card hovers around 700kh the second one around 275. This is expected since laptop cards are often smaller and designed to provide less heat and power. Meaning that they always will have worse performance.
