2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2018 Crypto predictions on: December 07, 2017, 03:04:45 PM
Given the year that 2017 has been, what are your predictions for 2018 for cryptos? will Bitcoin continue to rise? I think governments will be involved more in cryptos in 2018, more regulation maybe?

Agree with you, BTC cross $10K as people's expectation (and still rising) is maybe the way it convincing the world (including every nation's government) that it has to be considered. BTC, this teenager, I think it will move on the mixed market price in 2018. Government involvement will make it up and down. So sideways market maybe in 2018. And another ALT coin will not missed the chances to rise every single main coin's correction. And so does BTC investors whose will not let every single dump moment passed and buy low and lower.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What the hell are Crypto kitties? on: December 07, 2017, 02:49:14 PM
I read some topics on reddit about crypto kitties and some people that they sold their kitties for 250ETH? WTF?
What is this ?

The one who buy that virtual Kitties worth of 250ETH must be crazy. But the craziest still is eth network. Many people frustrated since their tx stuck, and some failed.

The spotlight should be on eth network, not on the Kitties. I'm not interested in CryptoKitties, but I don't blame on it. It runs its business and people interested on it. The hype become the trigger of people desire to compete get what they want, that is the kitten, although they have to increase the gas. I think this is a good moment to evaluate eth network and do a significant improvement. How can something like CryptoKitties' hype makes the network congested and got heavy traffic.

If no significant improvement on the network, don't blame on the next independent pet lover dev (who knows) will develop Crypto-PUPPIES. Then all falls down.

5  Economy / Economics / Re: Worst bitcoin decision you've ever made? on: November 25, 2017, 03:05:37 PM

First, 2012 I was not aware when firstly read an article about bitcoin. The explanation was very complicated at that time. Blockchain, decentralized, block size and many things so technical. I just left it behind.

Second, the worst decision was in 2016 sell low and in May 2017 buy high. So idiot Grin
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: Report: Bitcoin to $25,000 by 2022 on: November 24, 2017, 08:38:54 PM

Now, as for the future valuation, Tom Lee, Managing Partner of Fundstrat, put a $25,000 price target for Bitcoin by 2022 in a note to clients published earlier this year. However, and this is important, this view is predicated on cryptocurrencies displacing gold in portfolios with Bitcoin serving a “digital store of value.”

Projection is a scientific method and media is the most powerful influencer, met to built peoples' confidence and optimism. I think it will be perfect if it also considered some "obstacle" variables. I said obstacle, means something like anything those can push bitcoin price fall/ correction/ bearish.

It's very useful for Newbies.
I found SCAMMER stand for what.

I think you should add HODL under slank.
I'm looking for what HODL stand for, and I didn't get the exact meaning except as slank or distorted of HOLD
Some people said HODL stand for Hold On for Dear Life.

Hodl was an accidental misspelling of "hold" that stuck.

Cheesy Yeah, it's something like slip tongue but then become viral

i'm newbie just know cryptocurrency, i have a little money and i really want to income ICO. But a newbie like me will not discern which is a good project. so i hope old member who have experience this will share for me How to know a good project?

of course as other said, researching for these following points is a must :
. The team, who's behind it.
. What they do (whitepaper, roadmap, plans, etc)

And because you asking about putting your money to be invested, the most important-forgotten thing is about its business.
How the way they make a business "packaging" from the concept they bring. I just learn about this, and I see some ICO bring a brand new technology, new concept, but it's become useless when they fail to make it as a business. How can people buy their token if it's not prospective.

Privacy and security topics are always interesting and nowadays most of people doesn't really care about that. Almost every platform, from device, OS, networks are not safe. And about the tittle of this threads, I agree that our data needs to be encrypted as long as you are the only one who can decrypt it. If you can't, sorry to say, then just a bullshit. Many services offers protection, VPN, Tor, or something like that are not guarantees that you are absolutely safe. It's just minimalized the public exposures like trackers. Who can guarantee that those 'privacy services providers' are not collecting your data?

by the way, I like those movies you mentioned above.

Buddy I see you get the point. Of course It's the safest of all if you can control everything of what you are doing but at the end you have to trust something. I mean if you drive the car, you feel safe push the brake when you need it, but who garante that? The car's makers so you trust them.
However something can go wrong something and does not work as it was supposed to do.

In the same way you have to trust something in what you are believing. But to make everything works for a common folk something needs to be easy - so in the end how can you control everything if you don't make it by yourself ?

If a VPN is FREE do you think it's safe enough ?
WHEN THE SERVICE IS FREE YOU ARE THE PRODUCT

Forget about Free service dude, the paid services aren't also 100% guarantee our privacy

MEW is very easy to use. And it can received ERC20 based token. Just always remember to not show or give your pr!vate key to anyone.

Can someone explain to me what is airdrop? Im really curious about it because i have heard it so many times. Thank you.

The point of bounty campaign is to support company in promoting their business, mostly through social media, content creator (blog, youtube, design, etc), or something has high-exposure of mass-communities. They "use" social-community power to promote what their project does. Then as a feed-back, they give a rewards (can be token, coin, or something). The details of the rewards and what-to-do is different for each bounty project.

You can easily find the projects fits to you here :
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0 or, some projects also can be find here (under marketplace) :
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=197.0

15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to track and manage multiple bounties? on: October 31, 2017, 11:24:34 AM
It is easy to do one bounty or two and submit weekly reports but when it comes to more than 5 bounties with FB/Twitter/Telegram/Slack/Linkedin/BCT etc in every bounty it is going to be a really difficult task.

Please share your tips and tricks for handling multiple bounties and their daily and weekly tasks without fail.

Simplest, I'm using excel  Cheesy
> Name of the project, dateline, what to do list (done or need to be done), progress, reported (when and how), target of reward achieved or not.
> Bookmark the threads (named sorts as excel sorts)
> Split excel into some sheets for every weeks/ months, or for special cases of bounty.
> The most important, keep up-to-date with the threads (last page) to find out what actually happen, some bounties stoped by the managers, or if u choose a wrong bounties, it might be GONE away or locked because of participants' chaos  Grin

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: newbies on airdrop on: October 31, 2017, 11:11:09 AM
Definitely not. People can just spam register new accounts and just log them in to accumulate hours logged in. People can use multiple browsers to bypass the one-account-logged-in-per-browser restriction. Also, I'm pretty sure airdrop managers don't have access to that data(hours logged in), only admins of this forum have.

Right, I'm agree with you.
Airdrop manager should makes strict rules if they want a fair airdrop.
