Apologies for not replying sooner, I didn't see the replies until I got into the office.

Let me clarify a few queries made quickly. The way the website and system has been set up is that once an order is placed it will be held for a period of 24 hours on the system until such time that we have marked the order as paid. After the 24 hour period has elapsed the order is then released and then added back to the list of available orders. Nothing sinister I can assure you. There does however seem to be a problem with out ticket count. As such orders will be closed until we have resolved the issue.

20 units have been paid for.  

The following order numbers have had their deposits paid:

1, 4, 7, 11, 14, 15, 16, 18, 22, 25, 28.

Apologies for the poor authentication mail. This is unacceptable and will be resolved immediately. I'm ashamed to admit that I did not pick it up earlier.

As for escrow we feel that that having it for the remaining full price is only fair. The deposit allows us to make sure the order is valid and legitimate. Unfortunately we have had some rather disgusting orders as well as spam attacks.

As for the chip payments, I am not in possession of these as I didn't make the purchase. I am hoping to receive that information within the next 2 days.

We are not forcing anyone to order from us. We have simply tried to set it up as such that it limits the amount of risk a buyer has to take. You are more than welcome to wait us to deliver before ordering. This would be a sensible option. We do not require the funds. But again before crying scam at least give us the chance to prove otherwise.

                      

Delivery is expected Mid-August. Provided Avalon keep to their shipping timelines.

You're more than welcome to assume the worst about us. As I have continuously said it isn't possible to prove you otherwise until such time that we deliver. We have done our best to ensure that the risk to the buyer is minimal. We have lowered the unit cost. We will be providing free units to the community prior to requesting the final payments and delivery. We are using Escrow ( Excluding the Deposit ). The units are not massive capital outlays. If you could suggest any other way for us to limit the risk please feel free to tell us. As for pictures, when we have everything setup and I have been provided with the information it will be posted here.

The money collected during the deposit stage is not being used. But the reason we are requesting it is to ensure that the orders placed are serious ones. We have had many orders placed that are clearly a joke and unfortunately this is our way of differentiating between the two.

Yes sir, the only upfront fee required would be the deposit. Escrow for the remaining funds will be possible. Who is the preferred Escrow authority? JohnK? 

The Initial idea was to use the full price pre-order money to partially fund the project. And as we have changed the structure to use only deposits to secure an order now we will be using our own capital. Its even less risk to the buyer as they will only be required to pay 1 BTC per unit. This is refundable at any point prior to shipping.  I hope that clears it up.

Yes Sir, Chips have been purchased via numerous sources. All expected within the early batches. Thats hoping AVALON can deliver on time. All the purchase sources will be provided as soon as I have all of them.  

The whole idea behind the smaller profit and delivering the products to the hero memebers prior to full payment is to prove ourselves. We will without a doubt be increasing our profit margins with the next batch. This is simple business. It is far more beneficial to have the support of a client base rather than making a quick buck.

We understand that by design Bitcoin prevents refunds. That is why we guarantee to refund any payments prior to shipping in BTC to the payment address.

Apologies for the lack of response to this thread. It has indeed been a very busy week! I will update with news and photos as soon as we are all set up!

Please note the following changes have been made.

The price per module is now 8.99 BTC. We feel it absurd to include such a high profit margin to our initial sales. Please keep in mind that the price will change over time. But for now, we feel this is a fair reflection of what you will be getting.

We have changed and reset all our pre-orders. We are no longer taking the full price for your pre-order. Should you place a pre-order you will be required to pay a 1 BTC deposit per unit. Refundable at any point. The remaining funds will be required once we have proven we have a working module and are ready to ship. This is a far more fair way of doing things!

Again, we seem to have everything on track and are just waiting for our chips to arrive. Should you have any further queries please do not hesitate to email us.

Hi Bitcoin Megastore, I can understand your apprehension and distrust for new ventures. Unfortunately we have to start somewhere. I can only hope that you give us the benefit of the doubt in order for us to prove ourselves. This certainly does not mean pre-order from us! Just give us the opportunity to deliver. That is all we ask.

In all honesty, some of the funds collected in this initial batch will be used to fund our operations in future. We don't expect all the pre-orders to sell. Its perfectly understandable as to why the community is apprehensive. We discussed it to a great degree as to what we should do. Fortune favors the brave. So we decided to open them up now. Unfortunately the only way we can prove otherwise, is to deliver working modules. So in the mean time we will try our best to validate ourselves until such time we can prove legitimacy with an actual product.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce a new company that will be involved in ASIC miner production. As you may all be aware there have been a few companies that have planned to re-create the AVALON ASIC mining rig. That is exactly what we are doing, with a twist.

We understand that there are so many scams present on the internet today, particularly regarding Bitcoin. That is why we have made the decision to not sell the full Avalon miners.  But rather a single hashing module capable of 22GH/s. This allows us to charge considerably less, and also allows our customers the piece of mind that the risk and capital outlay isn't substantial. The main intention behind this decision is to prove to the community that not only can we deliver, but we can do so on time. Trust is everything.

Now we will obviously be stepping up our game once the products have been delivered. Our future models are planned at 88GH/s to 160GH/s and beyond. More on that later.
 
The units will be entirely stand alone; Control Unit, PDU and cables are supplied with Each Module. They can be added to already running AVALON machines or they can simply run by themselves. No case is provided with the initial sales, it makes things easier and faster on our side and allows customers to create DIY cases.

Please note that this is done on a PRE-ORDER basis. Customers can expect delivery mid August should there be no delays beyond our control. PCB's and final preparations have already begun and we will take delivery in roughly 2 weeks. That way we have everything ready.

Price per module is 8.99 BTC. A 1 BTC deposit is required per unit to secure your pre-order.

This price includes everything; one module, cabling, control unit, PDU, tax, shipping and handling fees. The product will hold a 2 year, full swap out warranty from date of delivery.
We have 55 units available. However 50 will go on sale. 5 will be given to community chosen members for testing and to prove we are not full of crap. These members however need to be long time standing and trusted members. This is our gift and will be entirely at our expense. They will be the first to receive their units before mass shipping begins. Please note that you can request a refund right up until the point that shipping begins. SO no units to trusted members; refund! The chips to make the 5 units are being used from our personal orders that will be shipped prior to HashTech's.

We have two Branches that we are currently in the process of setting up. One in South Africa, One in Dubai. Our South African Branch should be up and running by months end, where I will update with all the necessary information and host an open day. Our Dubai arm we will be setting up mid July, this location will also house our testing facility and farm.
