I don't know much about the AltCoins (of which I presume that is one). I think it is likely that only one will make it big, and that as long as there is room for development of BitCoin, it is most likely that any good innovations in other coins will be brought into BitCoin when deemed necessary. Do you think that derivatives will ever be actively traded on cryptocurrencies?

No, if it is still in existence 5 years from now it will have to be legitimate. Do you think it can become legitimate while retaining anonymity?

Yes, but it has image problems which slowly need fixing first. Are western governments likely to accept and properly regulate virtual currencies in the near future?
