1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you mine Litecoin with a GPU? on: June 07, 2013, 01:30:03 PM
Probably you won't get more. It's not worth mining even if someone pays for your electricity. You'll get about 1 pizza a month and your computer will be slowed down.

If your really want to mine with it, then you should try out some miner supporting CUDA.
2  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What server to run a pool ? on: June 07, 2013, 01:15:14 PM
Hi,

Pool server consists of 3 layers:
- crypto-currency daemon with RPC access
- back-end connecting to daemon RPC in order to get work which is split among miners in easier shares. It also uses some DB to save solved shares of every miner. People connect with their miners to your back-end.
- front-end. It's a website used for managing users/workers/payouts and observing statistics.

I think the most resource-taking are back-end and DB. You should just start from the scratch on some experimental, weaker server or VM in order to figure out what configuration you need.

Hi,

Please tell us your graphics card model and cgminer parameters.
You need proper settings (especially --thread-concurrency) for your miner and proper clocks for your graphics card to avoid hardware errors.

You should try out cgminer.
Look for suitable settings on: https://github.com/litecoin-project/litecoin/wiki/Mining-hardware-comparison
