1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DVC]DevCoin - Official Thread - Moderated on: February 03, 2014, 06:26:58 AM
Just a quick question, I got the latest wallet from here: http://devcoin.org/devcoin-wallet.html#Windows

And whenever I open it, it seems to be giving me an antivirus warning when I scan it with ESET, is anybody else getting this? Or is there a known MD5 that I can check against? I haven't opened the wallet yet or unrar'd it yet for that exact reason and usually ESET is pretty good about not giving me false flags

Another vote for the most open and fair coin in existence right now: Devcoin (DVC)!

We could surely use more places to trade and increase the visibility of this currency.

Are scammers just getting progressively lazier or something?

I'm glad I wasn't the only one confused by this.
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Minimum lowest coldest safest GPU temperature? on: August 09, 2013, 07:44:06 PM
The biggest issue is you'd have to worry about condensation which occurs when the delta temp between ambient air and air on the surface of an object falls outside of a specific range. As cold as you're pumping air onto it, if your ambient temp is too warm the condensation will form on the card and short it out. There's really no need to ever pull a card below ambient air temps unless you're either in a really hot climate or going for some extreme benchmark, but even if doing the latter, it's not good for mining for extended periods of time.

Welcome, and hi to everybody else (le newb here)!

Wow, I am really not sure words can adequately express how horrible that is. Despite all of that, it's really good of you to come here and let people know so they can avoid the same issues. And like others said, always use some form of security (escrow, protection through paypal/ebay etc.)

Like the previous poster says, looking at avalon and auctions appears at the moment to be the best option although auctions are as rare as rocking horses!

Now that you mention it, I haven't seen a rocking horse since I was like four. Where the hell did they all go?!
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anyone here play LOTRO? on: August 09, 2013, 06:13:11 PM
I tried it once in the start and when it went F2P. I couldn't get into the art style but the lore and generally the way they prepared the game was really well done. Specifically the housing area was my favorite of any game I've played. Sadly I don't play anymore (too anxious for FFXIV!)

Welcome! I'm sorta in the same boat (lurking for a while and not posting), hopefully your trade goes well~
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptsy.com an Altcoin exchange. New to crypto? Come give us a try on: August 09, 2013, 05:46:35 PM
This is really an excellent site, and the escrow service sounds particularly good, I can't wait until it's out! My favorite thing probably is the chatbox is entirely off to the side and you don't have to try and ignore it or anything, completely out of your way so you can do your business. And if you want to join in or watch you can always open it.
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: PSU needed for 3 x HD 7970 on: June 06, 2013, 11:18:13 PM
You could also just get a lower wattage Gold (which are usually cheaper) and buy a PSU adapter so both power supplies turn on at the same time. Else for 3x 7970s I'd suggest at least a 1400W Gold to give you some headroom since most PSUs are not rated for their 100% capacity for more than a few seconds.
