4  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: coinchat sucks on: July 28, 2013, 09:08:52 PM
I think I may have gotten banned too. I keep getting a "connection refused" error whenever I try to go to the site. But I never did anything to get banned. No clue why. Never got any messages or an email or anything. Very strange.

EDIT:
I have made some btc off of the chat. The admin had a few issues in the beginning and when I brought it to his attention he actually manually payed me out himself from his own wallet. So I have no doubt about the legitimacy of the owner or the site. It does have it's kinks, if you don't like it, don't use it.

I can't seem to get any connections to the network. I had added my .conf file with the node ip addresses and manually added them as connections through the command line. Any info or suggestions?

I'm not certain, but I think the coin is dead.

K.

Can anyone confirm or deny the death of this coin?

Where are the "scam coin" poo-flinging monkeys now?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: pool.amccoin.com - SCAM on: July 27, 2013, 07:27:13 PM
pool.amccoin.com is NOT a scam. I have gotten paid out several hundred AMC from this pool. However recently I have been having some problems connecting to the pool server, even after I have already been successfully connected and submitting shares for hours. I am trying to see if I can find some support for this issue since there is no contact or support information on the pool site. I keep getting this error: "receive failure - connection was reset" any help would be greatly appreciated.

Where is bigvern/ bitjohn? He should have posted a warning or something. Not cool. I have no access to my funds, and I'm losing $$. Maybe I should have stuck with BTC-e...

With as much currency as he has flowing through this exchange, downtime for anyone is a huge issue unless you have an empty account, which I don't.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] epools bad behavior last week on: July 20, 2013, 08:03:22 AM
I have started using several of your pools and I have liked them so far. I had noticed some of the issues going on. Is there anything going on to compensate those of us that lost out due to the downtime? If not, that's ok, I'm just glad your pools are back up and thanks for making the franko coin pool. I had just been looking into that coin.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WE NEED SOME BBQ-POOLS! on: July 18, 2013, 07:18:02 PM
p2pool would be useful, because it gives you the benefits of a pool without a central server to DDOS. Everyone runs it themselves and it links them all together p2p style to form a distributed pool.

Where can we submit logos to for the bounty?

I downloaded your .exe and get the following error: cannot run program. libgcc_s_dw2-1.dll is missing. Fix this please. I should not have to compile your client myself. Or I can always go mine a legitimate coin...

threats don't work... the devs are working on a more complete package. But for this to work it has to be done perfectly. Look at all the coins that needed fixes...they were rushed and failed.

If you had any clue about what you are doing...since you mine "legitimate" coins, you would know that other scrypt coins have this dll file in their package. Try copy/paste (works miracles).

*yes I flamed myself*

i did manage to find a block, but the high diff and low power has literally killed it. I still have the majority of my pool still setup but i didnt see the point in running a dead horse so didnt announce it

The high difficulty? I believe it's at like 1.5 or something. I just wanted to post that I was able to get back into the "official pool". There has always been some power on the network, the network never died completely. I think that the holiday weekend sent several miners on vaca.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMERICAN COIN - AMC - Now About To Start - pool available already.. on: July 08, 2013, 12:13:14 AM
has this coin been killed, my pool doesnt seem to be finding anything

Not sure what is going on with AMC but I was mining just fine until a few days ago when I moved to a new house. Now I cannot connect to pool.amcoin.com

As far as your pool not getting any blocks, I have been mining with amccoin pool for a few weeks now and they were getting the majority of blocks, but now I haven't even gotten paid out for my last 150 shares from several days ago. What is going on? I really like this coin, I hope it doesn't die.

Where is the dev? Bring some life to your coin, it still has potential! Wink

There are still a couple of pools alive mining this. Network hash rate is still going solid at 4.5Ghps.
