1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: April 09, 2021, 07:37:56 PM
Hello!! Currently using Awesome Miner with MPH. I would like to change to Binance pool, first because fee is only 0.5% instead of 0.9%, but also because it's more convenient for me.

Is it possible, and if so, how?

Thanks a lot!!
You can create a new pool in the Options dialog, Pools section.
1) Enter the following Pool Connection URL if you want to mine Ethereum: ethash.poolbinance.com:8888
2) Worker name should be your Binance account name
3) Select Ethereum as coin
4) Save the pool
5) Open the properties of your Managed Miner and select the Binance Ethereum pool you just added.

Done it!!!

Do you know why, on equal hashrate, Binance pool gives me an estimate about 10% lower than MPH pool? I've done in two computers, one with a 1070 and the other one my 5x mining rig and in both cases result I see on Awesome miner is lower on Binance pool (actually is more like 15% worse)

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Questions about mining software, pools and gas fees! on: April 08, 2021, 01:15:00 PM
Ok, I think the other question I already have the answer! With Awesome Miner I have an availability of softwares without the need to actually install them myself, so it's just a matter of allowing Awesome miner to switch between T-Rex, GMiner, PhoenixMiner, etc. That's great cause I didn't want to go into too much trouble.

Currently it's mining ETH with Trex 0.19.14 at 25.6Mh so there's work to do with tweaking these 1700s!!

Alright, I think I'm all set up here, just waiting for a few extra risers, set Binance mining pool and ready to mine!
If you use the hive OS and install drivers from 2017 or find an old version of the system in the interval 2017-2018, then your 1070 video card will be able to mine 29 megahash. With new drivers, the hash rate is worse, as if the manufacturers are doing it on purpose.
Choose any pool you like. Since you have 5 video cards, it is probably best to use the one with the smallest output limit.

Thank you! I will consider the Hive OS plus 2017 drivers, actually I had the 2018 drivers installed version 380 something and had to update them. For now I'm all set up but will consider changing OS if feeling freasky in the future lol

Already the 5 gpu rig working, overall happy and making 13.5$ a day with about 2.25$ electricity (0.17), only some fan from time to time disappears (not always) and also some weird losses of hash across a couple GPUs. Have absolutely zero idea why, but problems appear when opening MSI and trying to improve hashrate. After restarting usually fixes it, and once it gets going it appears to run smooth, it was mining all night with no issues so all good I guess!

Great!! I didn't know about these exchanges' pools, I already use Binance so it makes a lot of sense to go for it, especially with no fee, no threshold payout! Sounds really good  Cheesy

As for the software, I am definitely married to Windows haha and I had been looking at Gminer, Trex and Phoenix miner, read that Gminer was good for nvidias, but was hoping to get a little bit more insight here!
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Questions about mining software, pools and gas fees! on: April 07, 2021, 01:16:38 AM
Hi there!

I was mining back in 2017-2018, had a couple nvidia 1070 GPUs and I did fine and cover a decent bunch of the investment, but had to stop in summer 2018 due to lack of space and profitability. Been very active in crypto since then though, and been holding some btc and eth for a long time.

Anyway, I did sell some GPUs at a loss, but not all of them (due to laziness mostly), and I still have 5 of them: 2 1070, 2 1070 ti, and 1 1060. I have my own place now, and an empty room, so I have decided to go back to mining and have made a rig with some recycled stuff (still kept MOBO, 1000W gold EVGA and SSD, plus some RAM I wasn't currently giving use), and also had to buy a used G4400 (52e) as I had already sold mine (for half of what I have spent now), and also 3 risers (29e) because I lost all I had but 2 of them.

So rig is working fine, all good, just some modest 5x old nvidias rig, and it's mostly for the thrill of mining, I loved it back in the day, and I have a couple questions:

1-I was mining using Awesome miner in some Mining Pool Hub pools, and I think it was an okay software, not specially complicated, though it had errors on a regular basis. Which is currently the best mining software for my nvidia cards? I'm not looking for maximizing my mining up to the last bit,  and I don't want to run into a lot of trouble with the mining software like back in 17-18. So something not too difficult to set up and that runs smoothly would be great even if it doesn't deliver the best hashrate.

2-Which is the best pool to mine with? I think ETH is the best coin overall to mine these days, and I wouldn't mind holding it for the next months (also I wouldn't mind only mining it), but I have my fair share of use of DeFi and know how insane gas fees are, so if I'm gonna make something like 300$ a month and gotta pay 100$ in fees to cashout them, well, this sucks. So I was wondering if that's a problem in some of the pools, and which are the best pools in order to get free withdrawals to an exchange.

These are the two questions I can come up for now.

If you have read this far, appreciate a lot!

It's okay didn't have time for bad vibes!! I'm super excited with going back to mining, back in mid 2018 had to quit cause I was out of space to mine and profit had dropped to almost zero so I quit, but left some unsold cards and now I'm very happy to go back to it!! Also needed extra pc for some minor other stuff so that's perfect.

The learning process from how to setup a rig, finding the right components, good deals on cards, to setting all up and actually mining was very difficult and also with a lot of headaches but totally worth it ❤️

I gave you enough merits to boost you up a notch.  just keep posting.

You were persistent . check

I'd have rather get some BTC but appreciate this Merit coin too! ^^

It's working!!! Changed the CPU power cable for another and now working with no issues yoooo LFG!!!!! Lol

I'm sure I'll have some problems when trying to make the 5 GPUs work but I'll handle it. For now I have some super annoying sound in the middle fan of both my 1070 tis (part of the reason I didn't sell them couple years ago) but other than that I think I'll be able to run then smoothly!!! Super excited to mine some, I used to do awesome miner with MPH back in the day, if there are better options in all ears! Let's fucking go!!! lol
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Motherboard won't boot! H110 pro btc+ on: April 06, 2021, 07:09:57 PM
I have connected:

2 GPUs with risers plus power. Risers go to slot pcie2 and another black one. Power goes from power unit to the risers, and from power unit to the GPUs.

I have connected SSD, SSD to motherboard and power from power unit to add

I have connected CPU,with its fan connected to motherboard.

I have added keyboard mouse and a DVI connector for screen.

Also ram connected and nothing else. What am I missing or doing wrong? I haven't connected the 4 pin extra power connectors cause I read no need under 3 GPUs,was planning on connecting after being able to run it properly. Not sure what is missing here
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Motherboard won't boot! H110 pro btc+ on: April 06, 2021, 07:05:48 PM
Hi again!!

I've run into the same issue. changed CPU for G4400 and pc won't start!

If I connect only CPU and fan plus GPU,they start to run their fans automatically when switching on the power unit. But as soon as I connect one more cable (CPU power cable), it won't do anything, and when I try to start CPU it won't connect. What can it be??? What is it the most common issue or something that I might be missing??
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Motherboard won't boot! H110 pro btc+ on: March 30, 2021, 11:26:44 PM
I'm going with another CPU, realized it's the best option. I've purchased a used G4500, there's a shortage of 6th/7h gen CPU's!!

Funny cause after 2 years of not using my mining rig and being lazy and not selling components, I finally sold my G4400 for 25€ just 6 months ago lol

I've bought the 4500 for 52€ used, hope it works ^^

As for MOBO non specific for mining, I had my share of them back in the day never again lol

I returned the CPU and hopefully they reimburse but it's not done deal as with amazon so cross fingers with that too...

I really really appreciate your help, you literally have saved me hours of youtube tutorials and not understanding wtf was going on.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Motherboard won't boot! H110 pro btc+ on: March 30, 2021, 09:54:45 PM
Not sure I can return it, I didn't purchase CPU with amazon and it's not really the store's fault... is there a cheap MOBO that can easily handle 2 1070, 2 1070 ti + 1 1060 and compatible with the G5420?

Also, I didn't mention, but the only RAM I have available is a 1x16bg TridentZ that I have left from other package I bought (that I keep as a backup for my office computer) so not sure it was going to be compatible with the 110 pro btc+... wasn't a problem because I would buy the slot if needed, but now that I might have to return the CPU to perhaps end up needing one more slot, maybe better to buy a newer MOBO... advice welcome!

edit: really appreciate the advice, I was getting super frustrated not knowing what the problem was!!
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Motherboard won't boot! H110 pro btc+ on: March 30, 2021, 09:44:52 PM
Ohh shiiiit  Lips sealed Lips sealed Lips sealed
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Motherboard won't boot! H110 pro btc+ on: March 30, 2021, 09:29:46 PM
So I connect to PSU:
MOBO 24 pin
SSD
GPU via PCIe

I connecto to MOBO:
CPU G5420 with fan
PCIe 16x on slot 2
SSD
RAM

And also the jumper on position 1 & 2.

I turn on the PSU and inmediately, CPU fan and GPU fans start to roll.

Now the problem comes with my next action:
I connect CPU power 12V and/or
I connect the 4x pin recommended for more than 3 GPUs

Nothing happens. I hear no sound, no light on the MOBO (I have it from 2018 and not sure if it did light some led, I don't see any). Nothing at all. I press power button and doesn't respond at all. Nothing.

This is an old MOBO, I mined with it on 2018 and it was working correctly. It hasn't been touched since then. CPU is new.

What is it?? I really have no idea

 Grin Grin Grin Grin

On a more serious note, I'm sorry that your lost some money. My friend lost only the shipment of the black card which was something like 50-60€ if I recall correctly.

At least I feel good that this post might have been helpful for some people to avoid this scam...

Hahahaha ok so now you can order your imaginary visa blue or black fake card... for free!!  Grin Grin Grin

https://twitter.com/davidmillerbtc

BTW, you see the 39 retweets and likes (from fake accounts obv) on the tweet... but no comments? lol

I have no idea why would they do that, maybe they want to get free info on people to sell it after they shut down their scam? The only thing I would bet on at this point is they are about to go down. Maybe too many people figured out it is a scam at this point and they are barely getting any more people scammed buying their fake shit

Within 17 minutes time frame, you made 4 posts and I afraid you will get a ban for multiposting in a short time.  Roll Eyes

You could have made 1 post for all by using the insert quote function.

Managed to fix it, thank you for the advice Smiley

I was told to create a thread here. I don't think there is much to add. Just check these threads:

And many more, I don't think there's much else to add.

Don't deposit your money there. Don't listen to shaddy forum members claiming it's legit. Don't give them your money. It's a scam.

Hello!

A friend of mine has ordered this card where you can sell your BTC and withdraw from an ATM anonymously. It hasn't still arrived. I was thinking of ordering one, but I have found almost no information! Their youtube channel is full of videos that nobody watches, what they do is possibly illegal in Europe, and other cards I think in the past were sort of shaddy.

So I was wondering if that could be a scam! Maybe some people here know about it, cause in case that it was legit I would be interested Cheesy
Well never heard that name. I can't say it's a scam or not, and I don't want to. I will just  say that you need to remind your friend to do a research about the company before you decide to buy or use their services because scam is very rampant in this decentralized world. I hope that we all can avoid scams and those bad services.

I know!! I remember the first thing I told him was: that's probably a scam!

I had made my fair share of research back in 2017 (I asked in this forum) so I knew that black cards were illegal (at least in Europe), so my intuition was it would either get shut down or more likely was a scam.

I told him that and he said he would risk the 55 euros that the card cost and he was fine with that.

I am waiting for his blue card.Black has to high fee for me
Below i am posting few links showing that company is legit

https://www.bizstats.co.uk/ltd/equicex-group-ltd-11775931/
https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/equicex-group-ltd

https://smartereum.com/48986/dash-news-dash-coin-price-jumped-by-just-over-12-percent-after-equicex/

His blue card is from very legit provider what is also EcoPayz provider
http://www.psi-pay.co.uk/

His black card is from Belize offshore .It is a little to risky for me however Belize offshore is not blacklisted by EU same like any other US offshore area
They ask only for scan of id,passport or even driving license to confirm blue card
You need even to give proof of adres so why not to order blue one

I'm waiting particularly on this guy with 1000 messages and on whom bitcointalk warns me not to trade with, to come back and remind us of how legit this company is.

Pretty shady stuff!

You can send PM to him and ask if he has already received the card.

Another suggestion is you create a thread in this section: Scam Accusations

Equicex 100% Anonymous Black Card - Visa Prepaid and Virtual - NO ID - NO LIMITS

@equicex

They don't allow messages in that Equicex thread! The equicex scammer came here when I started making questions and a little noise on Twitter and closed all threads he had started in this forum, I was actually gonna post in that thread too Grin Grin Grin

Look, let's be clear: when this guy Pab guy he came here and started to put all these links as if they were proof of legitimacy, I thought there was something really fishy about it. It was either insulting my intelligence by claiming that crap was proof of legitimacy or he was in the scam.

I have mentioned him a lot of times in this thread and he didn't want to come, it's up to him and his consciousness. There is a lot of deception in these forums I see.

No I didn't one month waiting
I have reorder and send support ticket
But correct thread to report scams is Scam Accusations as Slow Death advise you

Well, good luck with your card Pab!! So unfortunate that it got lost... as all the other cards!! By the way, I've read a lot of people that haven't been answered to their emails at all (and even shut down their accounts), so good luck with that too!

Now, I have an honest question for you: Are you in the scam too?? I feel you might be.

Allright, I already created the thread about equicex at the scam forum, I didn't even know that forum existed here!

Hope this way it gets more visibility, though at this point and after so long, I think the vast majority of scammed money already has been stolen
