That depends on the cause of the disappearance of the Bitcoin. If it was illegalized and banned by the government, then altcoins will most likely disappear as well.

Note that having those advertisements would mean more cost. Who is willing to spend that much money? Of course, we cannot expect bitcoin creators to do this and it is not just feasible.

Bitcoin is a lot more popular than any other cryptocurrency because of the fact that it was there considerably longer than any other crytocurrencies like litecoins.

Bitcoins are the preferred virtual money investment because it is currently the biggest crypto currency out there which is being backed up by a large pool of investors.
