I get the same problem when using a phoenix miner in guiminer. When I tried using AOCLBF clicking run just did nothing (and that was with a fresh POCLBM install). Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

I'm getting "poclbm.exe has stopped working" errors in guiminer. Will this patch fix it and how do I go about doing that in windows?

At some point in the last 24 hours poclbm stopped working for me and gives this error when I try to start a miner in guiminer. Restarting my PC didn't help and I have the most up to date version of guiminer. Anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it?

I have an HIS branded HD 6990 that I'd like to sell. Based on eBay prices I think 900 + actual shipping (or the equivalent in bitcoin at the market rate) would be a fair price but I might entertain offers if you PM them. The hard includes a dummy plug so that you don't need a monitor connected to it and can administer the system remotely.

If anyone is interested I can take a picture of the card with my username, the date, a sketch of a t-rex with a machine gun, etc. Ships from the US so if you're in the US expect shipping prices of around $10. The card weighs about 4lbs so if you want international shipping you can use that figure to calculate it.

74C on the active GPU, 43C on the innactive one. On my dual 6990 system all GPUs are running hotter than 74 so I don't think that's the issue.

Well I had a 670W PSU connected and thought that was the problem so I got a 1100W in but the problem persists. I have another system with 2 6990's (vs. 1 6990 in the trouble system) and it runs fine on a 1500W so I would think that 1100W would sufficient for a single 6990. I agree that it sounds like a power issue but I jut don't see how that could be the case now that I've tested with a new PSU.

Also, I should add that, while the summary page lists connection problems the miner's tab says "Verification failed, check hardware!"

I thought it might be a power issue but it wasn't. When I start both GPU's up they start fine then, when they hit about 60% usage the 2nd one gets "connection problems" and drops back to 0. This isn't a username/password issue.

I've got one system with an 1100W PSU and a single 6990 GPU. There are 2 spare x1 slots if you want to rig up a couple more cards, depending on the cards you might need more PSU for that, though. There are only 2 6-pin connectors left and the 6990 uses like 475W in overclocked mode.

The 2nd system has 2 6990's on board and is in an ATX full tower decked out with a ton of fans. There is a spare x16 slot if you want to connect another card. This system has a 1500W PSU.

Both systems come with a CPU dummy plug. All the GPU's and the entire 2nd system are covered under a warranty from the computer manufacturer.

I never remember opting in but I got email confirmation and, because my email didn't use the same PW as Mt Gox/BPM they weren't able to confirm it. I suspect it automatically requires email confirmation. If you were unlucky enough to use your BPM/Gox password for your email, too, though, then you'd be out of luck.

I don't think this would stop him but I'm assuming there are a lot of account that have pending wallet transfers. I think it'd be smart to go ahead and revert any pending wallet transfer to that address in the event someone unwittingly confirms it. I think it'd be wise to roll out mandatory password changes, too, or at least send out an advisory email. I didn't change mine because I switched to a different pool and didn't think about it (plus I had only a very small fractional balance left at BPM). Last time I looked at the address on block explorer it didn't look like he'd snagged any big sums of BTC so it could be the case that the only account with weak passwords were idle accounts but better safe than sorry.

My empty Mt. Gox account used the same password as my nearly empty BPM mining account. Just before 7AM EDT today someone tried to change my wallet address to:

If you look at this address on block explorer you'll see that it started receiving coins today and has mostly gotten small amounts, presumably from doing what he tried to do to me (but failed at, because my email address has a different PW so he couldn't confirm the change).
I suggest you blacklist this wallet address from receiving coins from BPM and alert those accounts who were switched to it.

Phoenix only identifies one of my xfire'd 6990's, in fact it might even only be identifying half of it because it lists devices as 1 instead of 2 (or 4, if it counts GPU's instead of cards). There are 2 cards there, though, and MSI afterburner sees them as does GUIMinter (poclbm). Any idea what causes this?

It posts but fails to load the OS and goes into a reboot loop.

I did test it, the system wouldn't boot any OS with 3 cards (and thus 6 GPUs) installed. I only tested x86 OS's, however.

Just an update, my system wouldn't boot any OS at all with 3 cards in. I tried a windows install CD, ubuntu 11.04 install cd and install USB, then a hard drive with ubuntu 11.04 already installed.

Removing one of the 6990's allowed it to boot. This is frustrating, hopefully I can just stick this card in my old system.

They only test with Windows so they're going to ship it today. When it gets here tomorrow I'll check it on Linux and see how that goes, then report back.

They didn't convince me. I'm confident that, for my purposes, this is the best system.
