WTF , this thread is here from quite few days , Bobsa is a confirmed scammer and he really have a low life , and OP, from next time don't use such payment modes and use escrow ant every point of transaction.

Saving BTC is another form of gambling with bitcoins , in year 2013 some people bought BTC at 990$ and thought that would rise rise and rise but it fall from then and have not reached near to that till now , if they would had sold then at 1000$ they they ould had made some profit but they thought that BTC gonna be high in future.
I am not saying that holding bitcoin is a bad idea but i am saying use your wit and buy/sell them from time to time.

Probably the first thing you should have asked him that from where he got your number ,If it was some stealer of people bad for bitcoin growth then it is a matter for concern for you ,though he has not scammed you but he has opened the doors and his friends might have known till that you hold a good fiat amount and they could try next time with another leads.
