Newbie to linux mining.
i have 5 sapphire 7950 setup last night to mine ltc in xubuntu 12.04. After 6 hours mining, I believe one gpu gets crashed and xubuntu never gets recovered from the crash since now I can only see 4 graphic cards using command
sudo aticonfig --adapter=all --odgt
I also noticed that my xubuntu desktop is abnormal, since the color in the background looks like its in the middle of a crash. Anyone can help me diagnose the issue??
Make sure all your physical connections are solid? PCIe risers, PSU plugs, etc? Are the fans spinning? Do a "lspci" command to see how many GPUs the system can see. Each card should show up as a VGA device, and also a separate audio device. Do you see 4 or 5 GPUs there? If it's seen by lspci, but not aticonfig, you'll have to delete your xorg.conf and redo the config. "sudo aticonfig --adapter=all --initial --force". Then reboot, and see what you can see then. If you still can't see it, try upgrading to the 13.11 beta 9.5 drivers that just came out like 2 days ago, and do all the steps above. Those drivers seem to give me the least hassle. All my cards are the sapphire dual x 7950s. I ran lspci but saw one less card, but all the fans are spinning and the boost bios lights are on

@Real1Guy
Sorry, promotion is closed now. But there will be a follow up promotion soon!
I think I have 2 hours left to reach the 9 days goal. I wonder when I can receive my bonus and since I got more cards I need to stop my miner to add them in. I will probably want to do that after 2 hours, but just wonder if you set any check point at a certain time I will follow as well

Please check your miner and make sure your LTCrabbit memberarea shows hashrate above 1MH. Then we'll put you back on the list. @all Welcome to LTCRabbit, guys. We wish you a happy new year! I am all set now, can you double check? I have been mining in other pool for months, I usually dont have to reboot my miner, and I hope I dont need to do it in this new pool

Good to read, you have even more hashing power. Test LTCRabbit and if you are convinced, we would be delighted to take your full 7.5 MH. If your have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us directly by PM. @vampire1984 We don't see any hashing power coming in. Can you please check? @xIronCrossx We removed your entry temporarily. Please check your PM. Yes, I am at work right now, I will be back in 2 hours to get my miners over to your pool.

I heard some people mentioned i will need to change motherboard settings. I did try all the options on my mobos (enabling integrated gpu, disabling, auto), none of them seems to work.
When i connect my monitor TO HD3000, cgminer does not detect my AMD GPU. When i connect my monitor to AMD GPU , cgminer detects my AMD GPU and is able to mine but I can not use HD3000 to display. The screen lags which make it bad for use.
I also try to start up with AMD GPU connection and start cgminer then disconnect it and reconnect to HD3000. cgminer dies right at that point..
I have installed both intel, AMD drivers. I'd very appreciate if someone can let me know what setup i miss to get this configuration to work.

We have surpassed our previous record hash rates of the pool and the servers still have plenty of resources for more. However, if you begin to have connection issues we do have a fail-over server for you to add to your miner. Primary Connect: http://pool.d2.cc:9344Fail-over Connect: http://pool2.d2.cc:9344d2 i just joined you pool.Usually, how often is the pay-out?

OP, what time did you bring down the pool? I was at home about 3 hours ago and saw my miner is dead with invalid user and prehash-stale errors. I restarted it and confirmed it has 28 kh/s then I left ... Didnt double check if it went back to full speed.... now I am at my office and saw its dead again with 0 kh/s.
Ok, i just restarted my two machines now they seem to work fine. Hopefully they will be stable for the next 7 hours before i go to bed

I have the problem as well. Been mining since last 24 hours but my payout was just poor 2 FTC which just showed up 30 mins ago. I wonder if OP can take a look at my account as well
Sorry, I was totally new to FTC, and I saw OP is very helpful with questions and issues for each member. I apologize if I am asking stupid questions ![Cry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cry.gif)

I am now at Total time logged in: 4 hours and 3 minutes.
However still a newbie
|
|
|
Look, i am so sick of these threads so i am going to spell it out for you. log out of your account and then go log back in. mark the time to stay logged in to 300000 minutes. now come back in and post and read the forum and do your newbie time. These time features are a built in part of SMF and there is no way for them to prevent the time from getting added to your total time logged in.
The bottom line is this: I did my four hours just like everybody else. quit whining like a baby and do your time.
How do I "mark the time to stay logged in to 300000 minutes"?

Yeah, you need to be active, I think it's every 15 minutes but I may be wrong.
Thanks refereshing every 15 mins does do the trick
