The reason why it is valuable to have dollars, for example, is that the government will only accept this mode of payment when you pay taxes. Companies will exchange their goods and services also for dollars, but they do so knowing that money is the common  mode of payment people  use. it'll depend on the companies whether or not they'll start accepting bitcoins as a mode of payment (and some already do). I think bitcoin could replace some currencies around the world, but i don't think it'll replace money in all countries. Instead, it'll be something that works aside from money: an alternate mode of payment

I think what impressed me the most about bitcoin is that from having low value sometime during the year, it suddenly went up tenfold. Secondly, which i think is why bitcoin is very valueable, is that it serves as a medium of payment without needing  any other third party companies. Bitcoin; however, is still new, and because of this, people haven't used it to its full potential because all its uses have yet to be applied or discovered.
