1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] COBINHOOD - ZERO Trading Fee Cryptocurrency Exchange on: April 17, 2018, 09:06:18 PM
The tokens are basically worthless at the moment. All those little air drops are a waste of time. Imagine holding 100,000 COB. What do you get out of holding them at the moment? nothing. Margin trading apparently in June, but how is that going to work on such low volume. Add to that the fact that they continue to vest tokens every month, such that the circulating supply is actually going up.

Very poorly thought out token economics.

All they had to do was restrict zero free trading to cob holders or hand out trading discounts based on the amount of cob you hold. Or many other varieties of that.

Instead they give more crappy airdrops.

Those exclusive listing are good for volume for their exchange. But not for the COB value since there is still no point in buying them.

They can list as many coins as they want, but these guys are a disgrace they can't even get withdrawals right.

Many people waiting days for withdrawals to go through and support not even responding to tickets.

Team just say it will be fixed soon, they've been saying that for weeks.

Even the admins on there admit no one should use Cobinhood for another month at least. It is an alpha product at best.

It had/has great potential but it is being run to the ground by people who appear to be completely clueless.

If you want to have your money tied up in an exchange and you won't be able to withdraw it for potentially weeks then be my guest. Otherwise you should definitely avoid this for now.

Also remember Popo Chen saying withdrawals will be free, yet they charge 0.01 ETH for them just like other exchanges (significantly more than the actual cost).
Hello newbie, they are solving the withdrawal problem. Do not worry, everything will be ok.
we are waiting for new coins.

A withdrawal taking a week to process is nothing to do with being a newbie. But thanks for patronising.

very interesting, is there any vacancy for bounty? hope still can join. and good luck always

It's NOT a bounty, they are handing out free Cybermiles tokens to whoever holds COB tokens.

Anyone who has COB tokens by a certain date will get it, even the ones who buy it now.

They are being very generous to their investors.

They just posted this today on the Cybermiles underwriting.

https://medium.com/@Cobinhood/how-to-get-your-cybermiles-token-if-youre-a-cob-token-holder-b8884f030754

Looks like they'll give out Cybermiles tokens to COB holders for free. This is looking very interesting.

Does COB traded somewhere other than EtherDelta? It's weird, but I can't find the other exchanges.

https://decentrex.com/#COB-ETH
https://mercatox.com/exchange/COB/BTC
I hope when cobinhood exchange already launched, the team also can add COB coin on big exchange so that more people know about COB coin and the value of this coin can increase

It's an exchange, they'll probably keep it to their own exchange just like Binance did with their token and they have done very well with it.

Someone posted a blog post on closed beta and it's looking pretty sleek so far:

I did a research already and it's not a scam.

You seem very sure of it.

Would you mind sharing your "research" with the world?

Its has beem proven this is no scam.

Proven by who exactly, have you been summoned yet to the regulator? or will that be the next thing that happens?

And if it were to one day be "proven" it isn't a scam, you'd only be proving that the team do not have a clue what they're doing.

Not so great is it. Don't bother defending a sinking ship, you'd only look like a fool.

You realise this is just a Monero fork? Richard actually called the mobile "miner" (simulator) state of the art in that video of someone visiting their little office in Kent. That is just laughable.

They haven't brought anything new to the table and their development team look like a joke.

They are either completely and utterly incompetent which they could well be if you look at that team, or they are scammers and are just selling off their tokens while locking everyone else out of their wallets.

Close to $5 million dollars in volume traded in Cryptopia so far.
