1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India may ban bitcoin in 2018 on: November 10, 2017, 08:49:35 AM
I think these are one of those "end times are coming" time of news, in the sense that talks of something bad happening or criticizing the stuff now are normal for any society. It should not be something that we should be afraid of, because a lot of people have jobs in the crypto world there and they would not want these people to get screwed over, but in any case, even if they ban it, crypto people and hackers know their stuff, so it won`t be that problematic.

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts for Bitcoin in 2017? on: November 06, 2017, 03:59:31 PM
I think now a lot of people know about BTC and cryptocurrency in general. This is because of the fact that BTC reached 7.5k now and that means more people can mine it and are interested in mining it. This means that jumps and falls of the currency will be happening this year and that the fiat currency will fall a little bit, because of the use of the crypto one. This definitely means that governments and banks will try either to control it or to make their own version. Lips sealed
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should people use Bitcoin? on: November 06, 2017, 01:57:25 PM
Bitcoin should be used by the everyday citizen, because of it`s unique nature. The uniqueness comes from the fact that it isn`t materialiased by an institution like the federal reserve or any other bank or country. This allows for true independence of the individual, but most importantly the currency isn`t dependent of the policies which a state makes (like pesion funds and welfare), but more about the needs of the people to have a currency of it`s services and that is why people should use it. Smiley

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Middle East Richest Business Man, Won't Invest In Bitcoin on: November 06, 2017, 11:49:50 AM
The one thing you have to remember about people from conservative communities ( especially islamic ones) is that they are used to a specific way of doing things. The if it ain`t broke don`t fix it model is very strong there, thus being open even to the idea of new thins like crypto currencies and  ICO`s is something unconsiderable. At the worst case you get some islamic people with maybe a lot money not investing in your crypto stuff, but that doesn't make this guys biased opinion an opinion to follow and base your choices on, especially since he is probably born rich. 8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is holding bitcoin Greedy? on: November 06, 2017, 10:23:06 AM
People who hold bitcoin are usually very strategic people, who know that eventually bitcoin will go up. If we can look at it`s history it had many rises and falls of the price, but at the end of the day (or year) bitcoin went from 4k to 7 k in a few weeks. Then all we have to do is straight our definition of what greedy means. To be greedy is to want more and more of a resource and thus actively harming a specific group of people. At some point you have to sell the bitcoin in order to get your fiat currency so you will "share" it with others no matter what. You can`t be greedy Smiley
9  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin - Graduation thesis on: November 06, 2017, 09:29:10 AM
Hey man,

I definitely believe that there are a lot of things you can talk about in your graduation thesis about bitcoin, but my biggest advice would be to write about the practical implications of bitcoin or for what bitcoin is used in the real world and paint a very good academic picture with real research and examples. I definitely do not believe that trivial things like crypto-currency being the future will work in the conservative academic sphere Smiley
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? on: November 06, 2017, 09:08:56 AM
Hey guys,

With bitcoin going up 3k for the last few weeks, does that mean that there will be a sudden surge in the price of bitcoin and a lot of money being lost. I am saying this right now, because a lot people can get scared from little things like Geordan Belford saying stuff like ICO`s and cryptostuff are an economic bubble. Can we trust the general public not to get scared or is this currency doomed to fall?
