Hey guys , I update my miners to v1.12 all looks good , but after 2 days I lost one of my miners on network, when I went on site i found that Red LED = OFF and Green LED = OFF . Try to reboot/ shut down , perform hard button reset. Nothing still no luck. Any idea what I can do? is there any fix ? or I need to send to Bitmain (late Nov batch) Some of my other miners don't show all chains, and some are 54 ASIC only. Funny enough that after changing from Prohashing to Nicehash 4 out of 10 cards come right ... Any help will be welcome :-) Will the new Beta FW help?
is the PSU outputting power?

Hey,
Sorry if this has been covered previously, but has any one had an issue getting the firmware to load?
I tried multiple times today from various browsers. I tried both the Antminer-D3-20171210_0-blissz.tar.gz & Antminer-D3-v2.04-20171222_0_beta-blissz.tar.gz It starts the upload, does a reboot, goes offline, comes back up, but it is always the stock firmware.
I have the latest batch of D3, the 19.whatever. I have it turned down to 419 on the frequency, and the fan down for the noise. I'm fine with the 15GH/s, but would like to be able to adjust voltages.
Any advice would be appreciated, if anyone has had this issue before.
Thanks, @bigrobatx
My apologies to Zerp86 for using his post/

@blissz
are you working on a firmware update for the l3+
greetings!
donno how he could, since he doesn't have one to test... L3+ is a scrypt miner. this thread is about the D3, an X11 miner.

@Blissz: If your pools go down (unlikely, but possible), and the 2 hour timer triggers the devminer switch for the 1m50s and finds that both of the dev pools are dead... what happens? Does cgminer restart? If so, then after 5 minutes, it attempts to connect to dev pools again, finds them dead, and cgminer restarts... ad nausium until the dev pools come back? This is a pretty important thing to me as I rent out my machines and want high reliability for my renters and don't want to screw you out of your much deserved devfee.
Just block it in your firewall and never mine the dev pool duh Or download awesome miner. Have a trigger for everytime it changes to dev pool to then change pool back to main pool. Done Not the problem, or an answer. Perfect answer How does it answer the question about what happens? If my rigs weren't rented out for the next three days i'd be more than happy to try, but as of right now, i can't afford to have the down time as it reflects quite poorly on my RPI.

My antminer D3 has no micro SD card slot! is that normal?
it's in the back facing the hashing boards on the controller board.

Hi @blissz... hi folks...
What is maximun Hr/s that i can expect at lowest power consumpion (750/800w) with latest blissz release?
at 400MHz @lowest voltage i was averaging something like 15GH/s. wasn't happy with all the HWs i was getting so i abandoned that pretty quickly. at 450MHz @ voltage step 8 i'm getting 16.4GH/s (i have not checked wattage yet). at 525MHz @ voltage step 13 was very close to stock, 19.3GH/s at 1100W.

just wondering if there is firmware like this for the S9?
really good stuff here, thanks, not so much an expensive hair driers now i found you...
u get a % correct?
There might be, you'd have to check the Bitcoin Hardware section for that since this is an AltCoin miner. His cut is 1.5% (or 1.8%?) mining time to his pools every 2 hours (1m50s/2h)

How much time does it spend in the dev pool every 2 hours?
1m50s

after you set autotune, are you guys rebooting or just letting it be after clicking Save&Apply?

I still can't find a stable freq/voltage and not get HW errors all the time. I just checked my miners this evening and one of them was on for 2 hours and had THOUSANDS of HW's. voltage 13 freq 512 global.

It it possible, with the factory firmware or with this firmware to start te mining with the fans disconnected or running very slow because of miner submerged in oil?
Thx
factory will fail due to lower than expected fan speed.

How are you guys monitoring energy usage? I have a kill-a-watt on my D3 (120v) currently, but I'm adding a 240v circuit and will be using a PDU when my 2nd D3 gets in, but I'm not sure if there is an energy monitor I can get that plugs into the PDU.
So, are all of you that are quoting your wattage using 120v and using a kill-a-watt, or is anyone on 240v? If so, how are you monitoring the wattage? thanks
Just ordered this, says it's good to 240v for $17. I'll use them for timers after checking out the D3 usage. My kill a watt says only 120v, not trying that https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0727S8N72/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I'm not sure how you're going to plug that into a 6-anything outlet... must have adapters or something?

Per chain
Am I on the right track as far as getting rid of these HW errors by increasing chain voltage?
|
|
|
getting quite a few HWs on chain one on one of my D3's.
Global Clock is set to 400MHz
Time on: 53 minutes
Chain 1: 25 (Voltage set to 3) Chain 2: 0 (voltage set to Global LOWEST) Chain 3: 0 (voltage set to Global LOWEST)
i've bumped the voltage three times now and i'm wondering if perhaps this chain didn't win the lotto.
I've read 10 HW per hour is acceptable. Is that per chain, or a total of all chains per hour?

Does the reset button no longer work? Anyone else verify?
Nevermind, it's a very short window of opportunity. 5 minutes after power up is no problem.

well, at the very least it's free heat, or at least very cheap heat.
find the optimism in difficult situations. It's there, you just have to find it.
I have 5 coming late november, and i plan to run them until they burst into flames.
