1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [$XVG] VERGE [POW][MultiAlgo][BLACKHOLE][Entire Line of TOR/i2P Resources] on: January 11, 2018, 02:24:47 PM
Both show as dead. I am using the L3 so just inputting it in the miner configuration page. So that would be CGminer? Let me try using just one pool and see what happens.

But then what happens in a scenario when one pool goes down? I want to do all of these configuration and testing before I send these miners to my hosting provider so asking these silly questions to avoid future headaches.

Still showing dead  Sad Angry

Don't forget about me guys. Please help me with the configuration. Anyone else using L3's here to mine Verge?

New Verge coin fan in the house.

I am having issues setting up my L3 to mine Verge. I have used Aika Pool but when I put stratum.aikapool.com:7938 and stratum.aikapool.com:7638 the pool shows up as dead in the miner status page. Can someone experience please help me out or point me in the right direction? Thank you.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Pool For Verge. Using L3 to mine on: January 11, 2018, 02:15:03 AM
Thanks Noure.

So I figured out on how to mine with Aika Pool but when I put the stratum.aikapool.com:7938 and stratum.aikapool.com:7638 in the "URL" i.e. the pool input area then it shows up as dead in the miner status page. Any reason why this is happening?

So I was finally able to find a home for my miners at www.valuehash.com. Got referred to this hosting provider from one of my acquaintances, who is also hosting his miners at this facility. Visited their facility this weekend and they have a pretty neat set up.
Where are they located?

They are based out of Central New York

Is anyone aware of any hosting providers which are hosting right now? I have tried calling several people from the search results on google and pretty much everyone is at full capacity and not accepting new customers. I had bought a mix of few a Dash and S9's and I am unable to host them where I had originally planned. Please help out and recommend if you guys have found a hosting provider
10  Bitcoin / Pools / Unable to take out coin from Antpool on: November 30, 2017, 03:24:35 AM
So I created a new antpool account and created a subaccount in it and started mining. I was really happy that the coins were being generated and I was mining. But I am unable to take these coins out of my antpool account to my wallet because when I go in the settings in antpool I don't get an option to put my address in there. Has someone faced a similar issue? I am sure I am just missing one step. Please guide me guys. Thank you

Great guys...Now I am unable to see my miner in the antpool on my webpage.

Do I need to set up a Dash wallet address or anything? How would I do that? Do I need to input something on the antpool website?

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE HELP!!

What hardware or model you are using to mine dash? is it antminer D3?
there is a good setup that you can follow from bitmain you can check it here https://bitmainhelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002112313-Connecting-your-D3-miner-to-Antpool

Maybe you miss something that is why you are not getting rewards or you are just using other setup that is why you are not getting any rewards. check it carefully...

Thank you. I think I set up the worker name incorrectly that is why this is happening. I just put the stratum servers in the miner configuration and the worker name. But I did not configure any of it in the antpool.

It's been more than 24 hours my Dash miner has been running and I have not received a payout. The miner was set up with the Antpool but I can't see the hash rate or anything there. I am 100% sure I have missed a step. How can I resolve this issue? Please suggest...

17  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How is everyone small+big miners protecting the miners from Surge & Fault? on: November 10, 2017, 07:26:37 PM
Sorry. I didn't quite get it. And that's just because I don't know much about this stuff.

So per your experience, the Bitmain power supply protect you from surge? But I still need something for my breakers? I am confused

Per my experience, stay away from the Bitmain power supplies. They are poorly manufactured and fail all the time.

When you use a quality server PSU, they have many protections built in to protect the $30k server they were originally attached to. If there is a problem with the power they will shut themselves down to prevent damage and most certainly will not pass those issues along to the mining hardware. If something does burn up in the power supply the breaker should trip before any damage is done. Ive run tens of thousands of miners and never once used any kind of in line surge protector.

Examples of the PSUs I am talking about:

http://www.parallelminer.com/product-category/power-supply-kit/

I have already ordered my PSU's so I am not sure how to go about it now.

I also heard that the break out boards which were in your link need to be soldered to the PSU otherwise they blow or burn due to resistance if there is loose connection.

You have worked on tens and thousands of miners? Man you must be a pro then. Any other best practices? Do you run your machines on 208 or 240?
18  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How is everyone small+big miners protecting the miners from Surge & Fault? on: November 10, 2017, 06:26:18 PM
Your power supply is what should be protecting the miners. This is why you use repurposed server PSUs and not ATX psus that were never meant for high load 24/7 operation. If you have a quality power supply, the only surge protection you need is from your breakers.
