a bitcoin ASIC can mine any coin that is SHA256
How would one go about using the Bitcoin ASIC to mine the alt coin also based on SHA256? You have to use pool which allow mining alt coins Not true, I have been solo mining Zetacoin with my erupters. -o 127.0.0.1:port only with upto about 5GH then it shit its pants already tried to solo mine this stuff with 88GH with and just spits out stales so good luck trying with more hash power I was only mining with a few Erupters...I have since moved back to mmpool. a bitcoin ASIC can mine any coin that is SHA256

CGminer will display your hashrate and everything, but you will never find a block. You are talking about using a SHA-256 asic on scrypt I assume? I have found almost 1000 Zetacoin blocks solo as Zetacoin is an altcoin with a SHA-256 algorithm.

Thanks you for a response.
I wonder who else had 142182.64506615 GIL to sell in one large chunk...since it wasn't you.
Judging by the jump in Hashrate, by 300 MH/s, when the diff lowers, I'm going to say Middlecoin is probably slaughtering GIL right now They may have been part of the 408000 dump...people will make their own judgements I guess. Middlecoin pushes 600Mh/s I believe... I've never even had 400K GIL so, lol... Where exactly did I say you had 400K GIL so, lol You are surprisingly defensive for a self-proclaimed innocent.

Would you be so kind to post another picture of your GIL Cryptsy balance? There was an epic dump last night of an amount very close to your balance in your last picture...maybe reassure your supporters and fans before they get out their pitchforks.

Think i'll give up if i reach 20 orphans with out getting any valid blocks - It's just frustrating...
K.
My orphanage has almost 150 inhabitants atm. I have given up already... Actually it's way more than that, 615 transactions and only 26 blocks...
