Figured it out!
I had Watchdog turned on in HiveOS, but had only defined a min hashrate for EWBF. Had to turn it off (or define a min hashrate for GMiner).
<edit>Just saw your post HaloGenius, you were correct. I had just forgotten I had ever turned that on. Thanks for the tip! </edit>

Trying to use on HiveOS. I keep getting an error, "Minimal hashrate for gminer is not set". I don't see any config option for this. Any ideas on how to fix and/or get working on HiveOS?
Bump! Any ideas? I've found a few other posts on other forums with similar questions, but never an answer. :-( I feel like I need to add something besides just "pers Safecoin" in the Extra Config Arguments, but don't see any other option in the readme that might address this error.

Sorry for the noob question, i'v been mining BTCZ for a while now I like the project a lot and think it has potential, when the new Algo is implemented will I have to update my wallet? also what else will I have to change in order to be able to mine under the new algo?
Hey Minetree, You won't have to do anything with your wallet. This will only affect mining new coins. After the fork, you will need to use a miner program and pool that supports the new algo. Details are still in work, but plans are being made to assure both will be ready for the fork.

someone can me tell, with mining program is the best? ![Kiss](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/kiss.gif) Your mining rig is on nvidia or ati? NVIDIA. Now using EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner. It is the best? ![Kiss](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/kiss.gif) DSTM is still being actively updated and generally thought to be a bit faster than EWBF which I believe has been abandoned by the developer. You can check out either, plus several others with my EquiMiner program. You can read more about it and download here. https://github.com/1ds/equiminer

Good news! Coinomi has added BTCZ to their latest beta for the IOS wallet. If you already have it, just update through Testflight. Otherwise, you can sign up here. https://ios-beta.coinomi.com

Hey jgs600, I've been working closely with https://equipool.1ds.us/. Check out my EquiMiner, which you can read about on the home page. If you are on Windows, you can use EquiMiner to easily get up and mining any of the coins on the pool. You can also use to auto switch between coins based on current profit, difficulty, etc. The owner of the EquiMiner is super active with BTCZ, and the pool's discord channel is full of helpful users if you run into problems. https://github.com/1ds/equiminerhi guys am really new here so go easy, only been mining a few months but a friend put me onto Btcz and i think its a great coin and could have a great future, can i ask for some advice though as ive always mined on luckpool with simpleminer but been having problems with luckpool going down quite often, any suggestions please . ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Updated version of EquiMiner https://github.com/1ds/equiminerHad a user with 20 rigs running EquiMiner. But any time he wanted to change coin, he had to select for each of the 8 GPU's on each rig. Updated version of EquiMiner allows users to look to a .json config file. Set all your miners to look at 1 file on your network, and now you just need to update that 1 file. All your EquiMiners will auto switch to the new coin! ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fuser-images.githubusercontent.com%2F36871827%2F37869257-b03eb1ca-2f71-11e8-8b82-fc33f8c822d5.PNG&t=663&c=0yqDLoh5kPaxPw)

Hey Brooklynite, Yep! The current choices are: - Most Profitable: Basically calculating highest return based on current market price and difficulty - Most Popular: Coin that has the most hash power on the pool - Most Blocks: Lowest average pool luck time - Equipool Recommended: Egyptianbman (pool owner) lists a few coins he recommends you check out. Basically what he is mining at the moment. - User Defined Difficulty: You can set a minimum difficulty on up to 4 coins. EquiMiner will auto switch if a coins diff drops below that threshold. - User Defined Time: You can set up to 4 coins to simply cycle on a timed schedule. There is no fee! Equipool is a HUGE supporter of BTCZ. I really want BTCZ to succeed, so EquiMiner's sole purpose is to promote Equipool, and help miners get started mining BTCZ and the other equihash coins available on the pool. For anyone wanting to try out mining BTCZ, I've teamed up with Egyptianbman ( https://equipool.1ds.us/) to write a helper program for Windows users. The program will auto detect all GPU's on your machine, and let you choose a coin and miner program for each. You can also have it auto select which coin to mine based on difficulty, earnings, or just cycle through several of your favorite coins. There is an idle start function, so you can have it automatically stop miming when using your computer, and start back up when the computer is unused. I'm continually making improvements, and open to suggestions! You can check EquiMiner out on github: https://github.com/1ds/equiminer![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fequipool.1ds.us%2Fstatic%2Fequiminer.png&t=663&c=D_glAbLyM9YWjA) <--how do I embed this picture?? Great work. Does it auto cycle through different coins based on profitability? Whats the fee?

But wait, there's more!!!! I also started a Lottery Pool, to collect donations to the community fund. You can read all about it here: https://hash4.btcz.rocks/But basically, everyone mines to the same wallet on Equipool. At the end of each week a random miner is chosen to win 10% of the coins mined, and the remainder is donated to the community. It's a great way to help the community and the coin grow, and have a chance to win a big prize! I also made a scaled down version of EquiMiner which just mines to the lottery. You can find that here: https://github.com/bitcoinz-support/hash4btcz-miner

I'm writing a little windows program with a GUI to help configure the settings and start the miner for the user. However, I noticed when bminer starts, it immediately spawns a second process. This is problematic because I only know the PID of the the first process, while the actual miner is running in the second process.
I can't shut down the actual miner by PID, and have to do it by process name. Normally this would be OK, except where the user wanted to run multiple copies of bminer (one for cards 0, 1, 2 and a second copy for 3, 4, 5 for example). I would end up shutting down both instances.
So my question is, why the double process? Any suggestions on how I know which 2 processes go together?
Thanks!

The past couple weeks I've been working with @equipool.1ds.us and @hashgod on a new way for users to contribute to the community. I'd like to introduce everyone to a website I've designed, https://hash4.btcz.rocks/This website monitors a multi-signature wallet on https://equipool.1ds.us. Any coins mined on this address will be donated back to the community each week. Normally, this will be to the BTCZ community wallet t1fHHnAXxoPWGY77sG5Zw2sFfGUTpW6BcSZ. The catch is, at the end of each week, a lucky worker will be picked and win 10% of the coins collected! The more hashing power you contribute, the more entries into the lottery. Check the website for more details! For our inaugural lottery, we will be donating the proceeds 50/50 to the two choices on the Exchange Race https://hodler95.github.io/exchangesrace/

Yes, that threw me off a bit at first too. However, my extra transactions always go to the same address in my wallet. Every once in a while I just sent it all back to my main wallet address.

Just a tip... very good coin to buy and hold.
There are a limited supply 21 Bi... what it's great to keep the price rising... every one can mine with your GPU.
Considering the coin's project, I think that the price may reach US$ 10,00 soon.
Will be great when Bittrex, Poloniex or Cryptopia start to accept btcz.
Rofl what are you smoking? $10 a coin would put it in nearly 9bil market cap. With all coins in circulation it would have as much as marketcap as Bitcoin today. And soon? HAH! Actually btc has a market cap of 235 billion currently. Not saying $10 will happen soon or ever for btcz, but I wouldn't say impossible either. All of the top 10 coins currently have a 9+ billion cap!
