1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin reaches 8000 USD on: November 18, 2017, 11:13:50 AM
Perhaps now that these forks have passed there will be faster upward movement. Demand seems a little tentative right now though...I think that this could be the "correction" many were expecting after hitting $8000. It looks poised for a jump soon.

This is almost too obvious to mention but check the dates on what you're reading...things change in just a few minutes/hours when it comes to markets.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Mining vs Buying on: November 13, 2017, 01:08:21 PM
It depends on what you're into Bitcoin for, and how tech-savvy you are. You can learn and be profitable from mining, but if you don't put in the initial effort and investment you won't get far. To make some quick money, just buy. If you believe in Bitcoin, mining is a way to contribute.

I had set a limit, at which I would not buy any more bitcoin, but as the priced dropped, I felt compelled to buy more and more. I have lost more than 2 year's worth of salary on bitcoin this year and I still feel compelled to buy more. I am among those who feel Bitcioin's rise is inevitable, and as such I do not "feel" as though it is risky, but I worry that my behavior is essentially the same as someone who becomes addicted to gambling. I think its time to research and look for other promising next wave of crypto - i think AION is going to be one of them.

How have you lost so much with the increase in Bitcoin value this year? Do you mean that you spent that much investing?

Umm Bitcoin is far from being accepted as a global currency for now. It'll get there...
