Little did I know the value of bitcoin was going to grow that drastically.

I used to think too that everyone knows about bitcoin. However, it turns out there are so many people out there who have no idea what cryptocurrency is.

It's impossible to steal, and I believe it's the biggest advantage of this currency. However, there're plenty of other advantages you can easily learn about by simply googling it:)
