2  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: North American Bitcoin Conference - Miami Beach - Jan 25 & 26th, 2014 on: January 20, 2014, 08:58:57 PM
Hi,

I'm a backyard beekeeper who has been trading honey for bitcoin since 2011 and participated in the Bitcoin Black Friday event, and I'm bringing my honey to the conference next weekend. I have a full conference ticket to the event, but when I reached out last week after purchasing a ticket I was told that there was NO booth space left or available. Further questions about possibly wait listing went unanswered and unreplied to, sadly.

I'm reaching out to find out if there is anyone ANYONE who is willing to share an already allocated table or booth with me and my small business, or would be interested in working together somehow (demonstration of a PoS perhaps)?  My space needs are extremely minimal and I would be willing to compensate my host as well for sharing their space.

I have been a fierce local advocate of the increased usage of bitcoin and have long worked to promote a closed-loop economy of people spending bitcoin for businesses that hold and support bitcoin in general. If you or anyone you know would be able to help me, I would really appreciate it.

hrm. idea for promoting long time bitcoin lurkers. demonstrate either a bitcoin transaction for a coin you control from x months ago (thus proving long term interest in BTC) or demonstrate you can send a satoshi to an address and give the transaction ID, some technical minutia about the transaction.

or we could just tip the mod a buck to be let out, but then its just a tax  Sad

I'm here to participate in a group buy, even though I've been around for a while, but while I'm here, I understand people's frustration if they cant be out within a few days of reading/writing posts... Weeks is certainly more than average for a spam filter.

at current (15M or so) difficulty, how much BTC is a 7950 generating per day today? Just curious from anyone that has one in hand today...

@galahad: low post count is artificial, some of us have lurked for a long time and only participate glancingly with the forum but read through from time to time.

I don't like newbie jail, but i dont like spammers either, so posting to threads I go, solving that very problem for my own account.

The analysis above was spot on, media cycle is down so miners that sell immediately are putting downward pressure on price. But tons more miner capacity is coming online soon, as we are in a paradigm shift going on right now in the migration to ASIC based mining equipment. So those who both mine and sell will likely fluctuate quite a bit in the upcoming timeframe. Get ready for volatility.

your trust is placed in the pool administrator if you aren't running your own.

Hello, my name is pistachiotuque. I enjoy my privacy, bitcoin mining, and long walks on the beach.

here's what you get if you go to google and type in "tuque" and hit I'm Feeling Lucky:

I trust you are all familiar with the fine nutty taste of the pistachio, so I will not explain it further.

Long time lurker. Became interested and mined/purchased my first coins in 2011.
