Thank you for the update.

I'm unable to connect to any of the pools websites as well. My miners appear to still be mining with the pool though.

Guys,

Our web server is under ddos attack and some subnets were cut down in data center. I am in contact with DC support to resolve issue asap.

Currently mining is not affected.

feeleep

How big are these attacks? If im correct the server is at OVH? Dont they offer DDoS protection?

Site still under attack.

Is anyone able to connect to any of coinmine's pages? It appears that the servers are having issues.

I can't believe I'm reading this.. I imagine it's the same people that were once crying out for deregulation and getting one over on the bankers who are crying to the regulators over a technical mishap.

Do you guys genuinely believe that "BigVern" is filling his pockets? Has there been one actual instance where funds have disappeared and not been returned?

The people behind Cryptsy aren't anonymous from some foreign land where no one knows.. they are perfectly open, talented American's who are innovators with a start up that has expanded at an alarming rate and is getting quite a lot to handle. As a result they have informed us all they are under a lot of strain but are remedying it - taking on more staff/servers and spending every hour god sends.

Can you comprehend the strain on a system that suddenly had an influx of 400% registrations with magnitude of sales increasing exponentially.. with the selection of currencies which they offer, I'm surprised that there wasn't more down time. They could more than handle the customer service demands at the start of November but with all the new registrants who many of which are late adopters and are inexperienced with trading, currencies and many of whom are clearly not suited to it and encounter problems.

On EVERY single instance I've now heard of where a balance disappears after creating a sell order the following simple solution works - purchase the smallest amount of coins possible, create sell order, cancel sell order and wow - the coins are back in your balance. If any problems arise rather than sending a ticket - check the forum https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/44674/page/last#post-107199 and it will undoubtedly have happened to someone else and there will be a solution.

I'd just like to say thanks to Cryptsy and the team behind it - you have developed an excellent site with a remarkable range of currencies. I'm sure if the people complaining had the opportunity to sit down and talk with you and think logically they'd appreciate you a lot more.

I couldn't agree more with your analysis and statement. I have used Cryptsy since I started into crypto-currency and that determination was made only after researching other exchanges, some of which no longer exist. Unfortunately patience is like common sense today, it isn't very common.

I like your idea here, but why does your site update so slowly? I am on the fast pool and it seems like it takes 30-60 min to display updates?
are you on the fast.ub3rl33t.com pool?  because that one has no problems like you are describing.  Our old pool, fast.minepool.net is very slow rendering and we encourage people to switch to the new one...it's why we made this new system.
But my unpaid shares was rendered fast to 0. Reward no. Pure SCAM

Did you reach out to them? I had a small issue on one of the pools and sent an email.  Within in an hour Markus had it fixed and adjusted, so I find it rather hard to believe nothing was done. He communicated with me the entire time so for you to be yelling scam to me is nothing but an attempt to assassinate his character . Keep up the good work Markus!
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Way to get round the 5 post limit... on: June 19, 2013, 04:35:52 PM
As a current level of newb and close to four hours of reading my conclusions are this:  Everything that is trying to be prevented is still occurring. Posts such as "this is my 5th post" are not helpful and only extend a thread when people are looking for information. The four hours to me is neither here nor there as I am new to mining and trying to get as accurate information as possible.

So what is the fix you ask? I'll be honest and say that there isn't one simply because getting people to agree on anything is a challenge.  If you lower the 5 post 4 hour minimum then people will whine about the amount of spam by newbs or anyone else for that matter. If you leave it intact you continue to get people posting (whining) that they have to make 5 posts and read for four hours for the topic of all five of their initial posts. This thread contains some really good proposals for how to solve the problem but then the other human factor rears it's ugly head and it's called human laziness. No one wants to invest the effort to implement the fix so it will continue to spiral.

I thought you weren't allowed to sell beer across state lines -- there's some stupid middle men involved for distributing beer.

Depends on the state's laws that you live in and the middle men that you are referring to are major liquor distributorships.

Are you sure its worth the electricity? I dont think it would be.

There are so many variables when it comes to the cost of electricity. In the area that I am in, electricity is relatively cheap compared to most.  With this in mind with a 7950 and a 6850 running currently my current cost is .36 USD a day.  For me it is profitable too for others it would be not be. I would recommend getting a Kill-A-Watt and seeing what the impact is before making a decision.
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want to buy 2 new cards. What do you think about this one on: June 16, 2013, 09:09:27 PM
Any suggestions  are welcome.

I have a 2 card rig I can use and I wanted to upgrade the cards from 5750 to 7950. This is what Im looking at
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202026

SAPPHIRE 100352-3L Radeon HD 7950 3GB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Any brands people like better or suggestions would be great .

Thanks

I just purchased this exact card and have it currently running at 645-650 Kh/s. I have no complaints with the card at all. I plan on picking another one soon to replace the 6850 I have it running with. The card is on air and running at 68 degrees with the intensity set to 20 as well the power tune. The core clock is at 1100 and the memory clock is at 1500. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
