1  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling 8 New and Sealed Antminer S9's with PSU on: February 09, 2018, 06:42:24 AM
Good for you. I hope you realize how lucky you are to find such idiots to pay that kind of money for a soon to be "old technology" machine that is swamping the network just prior to a new technology release. While price goes down and difficulty goes up all these morons that buy from resellers are going to get their ass handed to them. It sure is fun to watch human stupidity.

If you think the price is gonna keep going down,  there is no reason for you to be interested to buy these machines at all.
I don't "think" I know. I'm not interested. Just trying to help some of these stupid assholes in this forum not support price gouging reseller scum like you. BTW daily profit on S9 now $7.50 p/d. 13.5 month payback for your crap. Beat it.

This guy salty ass Buck Nasty

I don’t know what will happen but I’m hoping to be picking up some cheap used GPUs from these people that are over paying, I couldn’t imagine how’d they feel if say ZEN dropped to $20. I’m ready for another crash  Smiley

I bought 36x 580 8gb for 700,00 each...

I think I’m going to have 1 year to 1-1.5 ROI.

But I thinks is going to be a good investment.

Let’s hope it is!!

Hey, I’ll take those off your hands for $150 when the time comes
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining crash coming soon? on: January 31, 2018, 11:50:40 PM
I don't know about real earnings of other coins but I'm mining ZEN, at 14200 hashrate I was earning in Oct. 2017, 3 to 3.25 ZEN/day but earnings been going down to around 2.3 ZEN/day since 1/26/18.

Difficulty has been going up for sure so now I have to decide if I should keep mining ZEN and hope for the price to offset the rise in difficulty or just mine another coin... shoulda mine ZCL =.( but oh well, I can't predict these things.

Use simplemining os, it is well worth $2/rig just the time you’ll save from not having to install drivers for everything
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Has anyone else experienced ZenCash increase difficulty? on: January 30, 2018, 04:51:42 PM

I’m aware of charts but are YOU experiencing lowered earnings?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Has anyone else experienced ZenCash increase difficulty? on: January 30, 2018, 02:23:27 PM
No... Difficulty is up.

You can simply look this information up.  Every block explorer will have difficulty and hash rate.

What do you mean no? Difficulty is up but you’re still mining the same amount of zen?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Has anyone else experienced ZenCash increase difficulty? on: January 30, 2018, 05:58:02 AM
Sup guys, have any of you received less zen these over this weekend? I have 9 1070 and 25 1070 ti on 7 rigs, up until last Friday I was earning 3 to 3.25 zen/day (according to supernova daily earning report) so last Saturday I checked it went down to 2.7zen/day which I thought maybe I just got unlucky but when I chcecked today the earnings are at 1.7zen/day  Huh

Am I the only one?

Anyone else not being able to access Rig list?

I can't either but the pool shows I'm mining
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: best motherboard for mining with less problems need your experience on: January 24, 2018, 06:25:39 AM
MSI Z270a Pro

Only need to change 2 settings in bios for 6 GPUs

- enable 4g
- change PEG to IDG
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: At today's prices it would take 10 months to pay back 1 1080ti before you made $ on: January 24, 2018, 05:47:19 AM
I started mining around Oct. 2017 and at the time ROI was around 380 days now I’m at around 180 days. To put into prospective I’d like to ask you what other business you can invest in that will get your ROI in 10 months?

I’m a merchant by trade, since submerging myself in the crypto world I feel like a lot of people don’t have an understanding of risks in any situation, all people see are the returns at that moment in time. Nothing is certain so just do your due diligence and adjust to your surroundings, it just might work out.

To the OP, if you’d like to get out of mining let me get dibs on your gpus

I wish I started using this when I was building my first rig, the same issues with windows after the 7th rig gets old real quick
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / rigs freezing with Nvidia 390.65 driver? on: January 16, 2018, 05:10:51 AM
has any one else updated to the newest Nvidia 390.65 driver and had their rigs start freezing while mining? I've updated 2 rigs, one with six 1070 ti and one with five 1070 and they both started freezing, coincidence?

Voltage meter and a PSU tester will help a great deal for trouble shooting

I read this board does 8gpu.  Is anyone have any luck.  Do I need the bios the doesn't seem to be available anymore?

Mine does 9.

And of course you don’t provide any info as to how you got 9 to work, good job on trying to improve the community.

Thank you to all that has provided setting info to your rigs and not “mine does 9

Same here.  I have three rigs running with Asus Z270p's.  In the process of building a 4th.  Haven't had any trouble with them.

Would you guys mind giving me your settings in bios?

1070tis are weird if you do five and one 1070. They whale.  If you do six it drops.

Driver issues for sure.

Even with all 1070tis the z270p still only recognize 5 cards =(

Thanks for the input, my config are as follows

Virtual memory - 20gb
Pcie speed - auto, tried gen1-gen4 with no help
4g decoding enabled

But that’s water under the bridge, all I want to know is what specs I should look for in a motherboard that indicate it would be a stable  motherboard
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEED HELP ! Asus Z270-P got problem with 5. GPU on: December 29, 2017, 06:18:52 PM
I’ve given up on the 6 that I bought, for me it’s not worth the effort to get the motherboard to run so I’m trying the z370a pro
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: beginner's mining struggle on: December 29, 2017, 10:32:27 AM
I've just spent 2 weeks on this board and can't get it stable, this is definitely not a beginner motherboard. I suggest returning it but if you want to stick with it https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1917749.60 check out this thread
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / what (not who) makes a stable/good motherboard? on: December 29, 2017, 09:36:37 AM
Hi everyone, I’ve been dipping my toes in mining since mid October of this year to learn some of the problems and nuances that come with it. I’ve had a room built for (20) 6-GPU rigs and I’ve compiled a list of all hardware needed EXCEPT for the motherboards!!! From reading and experimenting I know what makes a GPU, CPU, PSU, etc. a good piece of equipment but the motherboards got me stuck.

So I ask you, my fellow miners, what makes a good and stable motherboard? What do I need to look for in a motherboard?

Here is a summary of motherboards I’ve tested and/or using-

First motherboards I’ve bought were MSI Z270a pro, I greatly regret I only bought 2 when they were available for $86. Only thing I did was update bios and enabled 4G decoding. Installed (6) MSI 1070 Armor one one and (5) Zotac 1070 Extreme on the other with no issues and have been digging away for the last 8 weeks with no issues. Definitely thought it was gonna be a cake walk when the first ever I built were so easy.

Second motherboards I’ve bought were Biostar TB250-BTC, first motherboard out of the box must’ve been defective because the second one I tried worked. Same thing I did for the MSI motherboard, updated bios and enable 4g decoding, wasn’t as easy to get the motherboard to register the GPUs as the z270a pro but still good. It’s been digging away for the past 6 weeks with (6) EVGA 1070ti SC. ONLY reason why I didn’t buy more was because 1 out of 2 of the motherboards was defective so I didn’t want to risk it but I’m regretting that decision now.

Third motherboards, which at this point I'm thinking, "hey I've built 3 rigs with 2 different motherboards I can make any motherboard work!". NOPE, I bought (6) Asus Z270P Prime, installing drivers for GPUs were a pain and when I did finally manage to install all (6) ASUS 1070ti Turbo GPUs it only managed 460sol/s. The rig ran for about a week but would sporadically restart and after restarting one day Device Manager decides it doesn't want to recognize the GPU that is plugged into PCIe x16 - 2  Angry Angry , so I opened up another motherboard, swapped everything over and still the same problem!! After 2 weeks I've decided to return the motherboards and found (4) MSI Z370a Pro, I hope it's gonna be as easy as the Z270a Pro's.
