1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Electroneum Mining on: November 18, 2017, 12:41:06 PM
there's a separate board for mining discussions. as for pools i have used a few, hashparty.io is good when they are up and electromine.fr, says they have spam protection, both have good hashrates, but the largest hashrate comes from nicehash.

as for wallets, github.com/electroneum under release. it's a bit complicated to use, basically run electroneumd.exe and that will download the blockchain, leave it running, then you need to run electroneum-wallet-cli.exe. to import your paper wallet run with this argument, --generate-from-keys You_Wallet_Name.bin. then it will ask for address, private key, view key, and password and then it will update your wallet to the current block. to send etn to cryptopia use the command, transfer Cryptopia_ETN_Address amount Cryptopia_ETN_PaymentID, you will have to try a few amounts before it goes through, i do about 3 etn below my available balance to account for the fees. other useful commands, balance, show_transfers.

electroneum has been good to me so far. i hope it continues after the initial sell-off.

I mined on hashparty.io and they send me about 1000 ETN. I checked on the blockchain explorer using my private viewKey and I can see that they actually did transfer to my ETN address.

The problem is, I don't see anything in my wallet. My balance is 0 24hours after the transfers.

Is it normal?

Try this, i had the same problem.

You don't need to come on here and post what everyone already knows, just because you can't come to grips with the fact that he has made the best eth miner in a multi-billion dollar market and made millions. You don't like the devfee go mine on the other handful of open source miners and make less and be happy.

Did u read the reddit post?

Do u understand that he actually taking more then 2 % of your shares?

Whats your opinion on that?

Does it matter? At this point mining optimizations for the eth algorithm has been saturated. He's not "stealing" 10% more hash from us. When you come on here and bash on the hard work of others and call it a "Rip Off" is what I have an issue with.

Do you go buy an iPhone and Apple has 100's of billions in the bank and make 60%+ margins off your hard cash and call it a "Rip Off" ? I don't think so.

Thats my opinion on that.

First of all, i never had an IPhone....and not thinking to buy one. <3 Android

My goal was not to bash Claymore, i am really thankfull for his software. It helped me a lot to start mining.

But facts are facts...

Just want to know what other miners think about it.

Hi everybody,

I am reading this Forum for a year, since i start mining altcoins.

Since day one, i was wondering about the stale shares go up and down, and affecting my hashrate because they will add the stale shares to my hashrate.
Then i start to google why is this happening and tried everything i can to solve this.
After spending some time to try to fix this(first i  thought its my internet connection or my OCed BIOS), i found this post on reddit:

https://www.reddit.com/r/EtherMining/comments/6h25b8/is_the_claymore_miner_an_nsa_skunkworks_project/divmrmh/?st=j9vmlfob&sh=80048423

and then this

https://www.reddit.com/r/EtherMining/comments/6h01sc/is_it_worth_switching_from_genoil_ethminer_to/diugisx/?st=j9vmnn3t&sh=57398a0e

I work myself as a administrator for 15 years and everything this guy is saying in his post i agree to, maybe u to.

Start think yourself, claymore can tell u what ever he like.
He can report Hashrate to the pool whatever he like!

Check this Post out and maybe u will switch to etherminer

https://github.com/ethereum-mining/ethminer/releases

or Genoil

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1368785.0

like i did and save u much more then the 2% ^^ Wink

So what are u think about this?
