Do I understand correctly, launch is at 8 PM and then roughly 8 hours of mining with 0 rewards and then solo mining until someone makes 5k and launches a masternode?

Network is being unstable now, transactions are not being confirmed. I'd suggest to send a small amount as a test transfer before moving larger amounts. Just make sure your money won't be stuck in a limbo.

Seems like this launch was or is f#$ked up. No news from the devs and the whole network seems to be down. Alternative pools can't launch because there are no live seeds.
