1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.3 (Windows/Linux) on: January 10, 2018, 10:11:51 PM
I'm using 5x 1060s 6Gb, Claymore 10.2 and get the "temperature control thread hangs need to restart miner" stuff. Driver version 360.95. Anyone else has this issue and know why? Temps on cards are between 53-58 oC.

I have the same issue since the last windows 10 update. TeamViewer absolutely destroys the hashrate on GPU0. However, there is no impact when using the HDMI/VGA port for video output on the same GPU.

Has anyone tried mining using the below cards?

1. ZOTAC GeForceŽ GTX 1060 AMP Core Edition, 3GB, GDDR5, 192 bit
2. Inno3D GeForce GTX 1060 Twin X2, 3GB, GDDR5, 192 bit
3. Palit GeForce GTX 1060 Dual 3GB GDDR5 192bit

I'm currently interested in building a rig and would like some opinions.

Thanks!

Here's a chart that shows cost vs hashrate for different 3GB cards.
https://www.pyramidreviews.com/cryptocorner/mining-gpu-speed-and-price-comparison/ethereum-mining-speed-gpu-comparison-for-gtx1060-3gb/

Those 3 cards should mine about the same speed, but the Inno3d and Palit are usually way more expensive than the Zotac so they aren't as profitable to buy.

If you are buying cards these days, chances are they will come with Hynix memory, so mining Ethash won't be as profitable as mining Equihash.

I am inclined to go with the ZOTAC above the others (even though is 1-3% more expensive than the others where I live) howeve, I've heard they can get pretty hot. Is that so?
