First of all , I just want to say I am a complete noob in this crypto world and that I finally took the leap of faith and bought some BTC on Sunday,  just because I believe in the ideology.

The reason I'm posting here is to reach out to the Hive mind .

All you cybernauts, cypherpunks, crypto Anarchists, thinkers, investors, traders, pump&dumpers,  forkers, shillers, experts,  segwits and dimwits.
(My keyboard hates me now...)

This is a challenge to all of you!

Please name 1 , just 1 ,or 2 or more , old or new, dying or unborn , that can fit into the following criteria;
It must be :

1- open-source and decentralised

2- not pre mined and have a finite no.of coins.

3- infinitely scalable

4- privacy and security as a primary focus

5- Have a full time team of talented developers

6- Have real potential to challenge the shackles of capitalism and replace the fiat monetary systems and central banks worldwide.

7- ease of use to the average noob and simpletons like me.

8- serve a purpose , even if it's just to flip the finger at the cleptocrats and the financial system as a whole.

9- Ecologically sound , where mining it ,doesn't burn fuel like a V8 engine.

10- Be in line with the ideology of altruism and created to benefit all mankind .

I know it sounds like I'm trying to decide what to invest In, and that's exactly right.
My bet is Bitcoin for now.

I love the ideology behind bitcoin and what it represents but is it still what it used to be?

I think it falls in line with Richard Stallman's free software foundation,  Amir Taaki and the cryptoanarchy movement .
I like Noam Chomsky and his views.
I believe in the need to empower the people to free themselves from this corporate greed and control.

No I'm not politically inclined to the left or the right.
This ugly machine that we call "system" has both a right leg and a left.
The idea that you are free because we are allowed to vote is a joke imho.

In a society driven by consumerism and greed , bitcoin looked as if it would break the mould and change everything!

Am I right or am I wrong to think that all that has changed with the huge traction it has attracted  , from wall street to China,  it seems everyone wants to profit from it and just move along to the next big thing...

So is there a currency , right now that challenges all of those bastards?

I'm a complete noob in this crypto world and its so hard to actually learn anything about it.
It seems that there's thousands of coins out there promising this and that , but with a single purpose ... profit.
Shielded behind complex language and technical jargon that the average person cannot comprehend.

Please can someone, anyone, illuminate my path and help me decide where to put my support and trust.

This is not financial advice that I'm seeking just trying to educate myself and filter out all the FUD .
I own Bitcoin but I'd like to dabble in smaller or up and coming projects dedicated to improving the world we live in.
Thank you all for taking the time to read , and reply if you can.

Peace and Love

Thank you all for helping.
Localbitcoins was indeed outside working hours and this morning the coins were in my wallet by 9 am.
Pretty good service, considering it was purchased Sunday afternoon and sent there and then.

Considering all of the pending transactions on the blockchain , it was actually quite quick.

So kudos to Localbitcoins and to the blockchain.
Kudos as well to the members that so kindly jumped on and have me some advice regarding my queries.

Thank you very much

First of all thank you very much for replying,  I appreciate your help and advice.
I've tried to attach a screenshot of LBC to see if it looks normal but I can't do it for some reason...

Anyhow, it's showing 2 outgoing transactions,  or maybe it isn't and I'm just being dim.
Either way I submitted a support ticket with them and hope to hear from them soon.
When I do hear from them I will post the outcome here...
Thank you again for the input .

Hope I haven't messed up the forum with posting out of the subject thread . Hope also that if someone else has any further information shares it here and provides me with guidance on what to do for best.

Thanks again

As the title suggests,  my brain hurts and I'm really at a loss here.
I'd be ever so grateful if someone could restore my faith in BTC and the blockchain.

So I'm reaching out to the hive mind...

So as a total noob Ive been trying to educate myself on bitcoin, the decentralised nature of the economy /ecosystem and the alternative  to a capitalist economy system that serves only to enslave the lot of us.
So I finally took the leap of faith and purchased some bitcoin through localbitcoins in the UK .
Awesome , I thought.
The transaction took literally 5 minutes and I felt quite smart.
Then I tried to transfer that amount of BTC out of the localbitcoins wallet ( as unwanted it in a secure wallet , not an exchange or escrow ) and sent to my receive address of my brand new coinomi wallet.

So I wait and I wait and nothing ....
Zilch , nada , sweet f.a . ...
So then I read about the delays on the network and eventually found this forum...

I've read the "pending transactions" thread on here but still can't understand what I am to do to at least have the reassurance that my transaction will be processed...

First : localbitcoins doesn't show a transaction  I.d. (tx)?
So i don't even have a tx number to send to the miners in order to bribe them to get my transaction  done quicker...

Just has my details and the fact that I purchased the btc and then sent it to my coinomi wallet :
15MCcc5aRukB4XpYwwgaKNakVUgHTGbgmF

2nd: Ive checked the blockchain with my receiving address but is not showing pending or anything , it just says no transaction has been made from or to that wallet?Huh??   Huh

Have I just mucked up or something?
Is this just a "wait and see" scenario or is there something I can do ?or even pay someone to Do?
Am I missing something here?

Am a total noob and I was so excited about entering this alternative economy and philosophy but it's really disheartening for a total beginner to come upon hurdle after hurdle and then be left in the dark ...

I'm starting to wonder if it was such a good idea after all...

Can anyone please help me or at least guide me in what l can do if all I got is the receive address ?

Thank you very much in advance
