The number of people who do stick around will be shocked when you actually do something with your project. MelG has an interesting idea to surprise people with extra plans. Hey everyone,
I’ve been in crypto since 2010 - watching, trading, coding, learning and over the years I’ve seen hype come and go, riding the halvings and suffering the rug pulls and experiencing revolutions, seen memecoins and major tech shifts.
Until now, I’ve mostly stayed on the sidelines. But lately, I’ve been feeling the itch to contribute something of my own. Not just another short-term play, but a project that’s fun, long-lasting, and community-driven, with the potential to grow into something much more.
I’ve got a lot of ideas, but many of them require serious capital, and raising funds in this market isn’t simple, especially without launching something first that builds momentum.
That got me thinking: why not launch a meme-style token as a foundation. Not a gimmick, but a platform. A coin that’s built with character and culture from the start, but with a roadmap that actually leads somewhere. A launchpad for future utilities and projects. Something that early supporters can grow with and benefit from long-term. Something grounded in math and proper economics that is designed to organically appreciate over time as long as the community supports it
No quick cash grabs, no anonymous team ghosting after presale. Just a fun, transparent project with clear stages, community energy, and real value over time. I am self-taught in crypto, with coding / marketing background, but of course I would need help from outside too.
I’m curious, for those of you who’ve built or supported meme-style coins or early-stage projects:
- What made it work?
- What totally killed it?
- What features would you want to see?
- What are the absolute do’s and don’ts from your experience?
Any thoughts appreciated. I’m putting this together slowly, carefully, and community-first.
Let’s be honest — meme coins are created for one reason: to make money. The crowd that buys into them doesn’t care about deep tokenomics, long-term vision, or economic theory. They want hype, memes, and 10x in two weeks. That’s it. No matter how much thought you put into building a solid foundation, most people won’t stick around long enough to appreciate it. If you're aiming for something meaningful, you might want to rethink using a meme coin as the starting point — the typical audience for those just isn't aligned with that vision. Just my two sats. |

Making payments on time could trigger positive feedback. Simply choosing your application for one of the last spots (for example) would not be nearly as good of a reason, imo.

"we should be prepared for the bull" marketTrue. People need to remember Shib/USD$ (Alt/USD$) is easy to make profits in a crypto Bull market. Alt/BTC can be much harder to win when BTC is flying high. You can have fun trading even if it never goes way up again: Shiba Inu (aka "Shib") is not a normal die and go away token. This one had such a big group buying it, there is no need to forget about it completely. Good traders don't need "The Moon", they need to close out winning trades.
Shiba Inu has been a good tokens that is fixing extremely well in the market just like the senior brother Doge coin. We can always trade it if we want but it is always advisable for us to know what we are doing so that we don't trade contrary to the trend which could make us lose more in the market. Win e the price of all cryptocurrency are down now, we should be prepared for the bull so that we can earn from the long bull that isnyet to come.

There will be a temporary massive panic in the BTC market if/when Satoshi starts to sell his huge pile of virgin coins. This will present a great opportunity for people with the guts to go against the crowd. The damage could be more severe and long-lasting if it combined with bad news related to the on-going post-FTX drama, and more countries "banning BTC", etc. Our bear markets get pretty predictable after a while, but the FTX hangover is real and not over with yet.
ps. When the market is hot and Bullish it is easy to say "to the moon!", remember to sell some, "hodling" 100% is for brainless idiots IMO.

This thread remembered of an old thought. Remember what was is said in some books of religion? That a sign of Antichrist would be a single coin used in the world. Some said it is USD, some said it is Euro. What if that sign and that coin would be, in fact, BTC, and the Antichrist would be THE SINGULARITY? Meaning that self-conscious AI controlling the Internet and the entire devices connected? Ever thought of that? With or without Jesus coming back, helping to create a one world Global currency could be a concern with Bitcoin. Does Jesus favor any particular altcoins? |

Ah! You are taking your chances with Jesus, the one who went through Hell for you to save you.  What about good people who are raised Buddhist, for example? Their parents tried to do well, but the Christian new testament says they are doomed to the lake of fire. Is this something you like to believe, and how is that fair? |

Staking is very similar to what we can find in the traditional financial markets... Yes, including long-term downtrends for most fiat currencies (vs. gold-or food-for example) and (for POS coins) clear downtrends vs. BTC in many cases. This "very similar to what we can find in the traditional financial markets" is somehow a good thing? Don't you worry that PoS will overtake PoW? No, cannot remember the last time that happened.
