1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Is there a website where I can see support and resistance levels for Bitcoin? on: January 16, 2021, 01:23:19 PM
Globally, so not just the buy/sell walls on binance because they mean nothing. I see 10 btc walls stay for hours, and sometimes 500 btc was disappears instantly, so I am looking for a website that shows key support and resistance levels.

I see people mention things like break out at #38k etc. Where do they look this info up?

Thanks in advance!

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Can you margin trade on both sides? on: April 12, 2018, 06:59:21 PM
Hi,

So if you put 1 btc for long and 1 btc for short position @ 10x margin. If btc moves against you by %5, you lose 1 btc, but then it goes in favor of the other, and if it goes above 10% that way, you will be in profit no?

Anyone can explain this please?

Also bitmex allows you to change margin afterwards, so can't you start with low margin first and then as btc moves in your favor then, slowly increase the margin?

Is margin amount related to how many contracts can you open?

Thanks in advance.

not a single green in top 100 with -13.5 global market drop, nothing to worry:

Well you have a good point here but seeing the market is down everyday lose my appetite to trade.Everytime I update my blockfolio values continuesly to dive and in red.Thats why I just stay here  on forum.and do not trade for several days now. Hope market recovers soon.

Exactly what I mean. I want to trade but when everything goes red, there is no way to trade, but also if it goes down more than it goes up, even when you buy coins really cheap, you will have to wait until the price goes back to your buy price which in this case could take weeks, so it makes traders sit like ducks.

Also not only btc value goes down but the btc count is also going down because of this.

I assume that's why many people are taking cover in Tether.

Today is also all red, with -9% drop for the day which is a lot. I understand coins go up and down but when almost all of them go down, it's not a good sign.

They are hiding and pretending to be someone else.

Whenever I check coinmarketcap, everything is in red:

I don't see any FUD, why is this happening?

Well, what you are seeing is a normal occurrence. Everything is turning red right now and then on the next day everything will be green and then on the following day everything will be red once again, and so on and so forth. That is what the market is all about. The crypto market is a volatile market and we will be seeing ups and downs all the time. We cannot expect the lines to go straight sideways. That means the market is dead.

And please, leave the FUDs behind. They are not the determining factor of all the price movements.

Except there is no real green. The green is slight one day, but then the red is higher the next, for nearly any currencies apart from a couple of random moons and BTC. As an overall, the majority of altcoins are crashing heavily, and have done so since Jan without any recovery.

Exactly my point, it goes deeper into red than green every time.

14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How does margin trading work? on: February 22, 2018, 08:30:42 PM
Are there any limits to this though?

Imagine you have 0.01 btc, can you play with 100x and thus trade using 1 btc?

Also I don't get exactly the short and long positions.

When you use leverage, are you still using the regular buy or sell BTC? Then later either sell it high or buy it back low?

Thanks a lot.
15  Economy / Exchanges / How to see all withdrawal history from Bittrex? on: February 18, 2018, 05:24:53 AM
Hi,

I am trying to reset 2FA on binance and they ask me for the deposit address I have on binance. How can I get this address from Bittrex?

When I am viewing my withdrawal history. I only see the last 20-30 transactions. I even tried the API call to get my withdrawal history and it's the same. It only returns me the last 20.

I only there is a way to get all history for ORDERS but can I do the same for withdrawals?

Thanks in advance.
16  Economy / Trading Discussion / How does margin trading work? on: February 17, 2018, 12:20:42 AM
Hi,

I understand some of the terms but in simple terms how does it work? Basically let's say 1 have 1 BTC and I use 3x leverage, will I be able to trade with 4 BTC?

If so, if I am not wrong, if the total balance goes below 1 BTC, everything will be sold automatically and I lose all. But if I am in profit how much do I get to keep? Are there large fees or percentages taken by the exchange?

I am using poloniex.

So let's say my coin doubled in value after I bought it, so now it's worth 8 BTC (6 BTC if my leverage calculation is wrong), when I sell it, ignoring the trading fee, how much would I keep in profit? Would it be 8 - 3 = 5 BTC?

If so, that would be an amazing gain. I know it's risky but sometimes you see a coin mooning, like BTC and in those cases if you were to buy a lot using margin trading, even after 10% increase wouldn't you end up with a lot of profit?

Thanks in advance.

18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Anyone else finds Bittrex trading notifications boxes obstructing the website? on: February 09, 2018, 04:05:38 PM
Hi,

Basically when I am using Bittrex and my Buy or Sell orders are being filled, my screen is filled with these animated notification boxes that I can't see the webpage, to see how many coins or BTC I am getting nor I put additional orders because wherever I click ends up on these notification boxes which then opens the same  market I am currently trying to trade.

Any solution to this?

Thanks in advance.
19  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's the withdrawl and deposit limits on poloniex? on: February 08, 2018, 10:48:40 PM
Thanks guys I just signed up so now trying to submit an id, having webcam issues.

But after this goes through I thought the limit will be 25k. Beyond that I heard you need an interview? Their support was good they replied next day.

I wonder if the verification is fast though.
20  Economy / Trading Discussion / What's the withdrawl and deposit limits on poloniex? on: February 08, 2018, 05:21:10 PM
Hi,

I saw that it says $25000, but does it mean if the current value of the coins you withdraw cant exceed 25k in a single day? Because I will need to transfer coins from bittrex and poloniex back and forth when I need and 25k seems very low.

What's the limit on bittrex? I don't seem to get any issues when I am withdrawing big amounts. One time it warned me saying it's a lot but then adjusting the amount to lower worked and I was still able to withdraw more after. I assume they also account for deposits so putting more coins back increases your limit again?

Thanks in advance.
