1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PASL]-[PASCAL Lite]-[PascalLite just hit $1 million market cap milestone!] on: January 11, 2018, 04:38:33 PM
Hello
Any news about Pasl Deposit problem?
BR Alex

No change, still in maintenance. You can keep an eye on the status here -> https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/CoinInfo/?coin=PASL

Also, to divert from the regular topics about deposits and wallets, how does the current roadmap looks like? What can we expect of off this coin going forward and how is it going to differentiate from the original Pascal coin project? I seems to me that there was no progress made since the fork.

FYI, after almost a week I've finally received an update on one of my support tickets on Cryptopia regarding to the PASL wallet maintenance. Nothing new or useful unfortunately, here's it is in case you're curious.

"PASL is currently in maintenance due to investigating deposit issues. You will be able to generate a wallet address once the maintenance is complete. Deposit and withdrawals will be enabled and process when the maintenance has been completed and if the wallet is back online again.  Unfortunately there is no ETA on when the PASL wallet will be back online again.  You can keep an eye on the wallet here : https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/CoinInfo/?coin=PASL  Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused."

It has been few weeks in the maintenance already, AFAIK it's been like that since mid-December and they don't even have an ETA on when it will be completed.

Interesting take on the subject.  I didn't realize that the accounts themselves could have such an important impact of the value of the coins down the pipeline.

I wont be deleting any accounts, regardless - but I will continue to mine it.

Ya I believe its a strategy little like Ripple in sense that it prevents the coin from being overloaded by spammed out web-wallets etc, it has some negatives as well of course but down the road could very well pay off.

I've made a ticket on Cryptopia this downtime is getting pretty insane.

As some previous individuals have asked whats the progress on getting this coin listed on another exchange?  I thought there was a few individuals willing to pitch in a several months ago and can imagine some of the massive miners of the coin would love to see it hopefully be better supported on a bigger exchange and the related growth as well.

For now the PASL is not worth a single cent with no exchange supporting it. With only one exchange trading it and currently down for weeks, I don't see any promising future for it. Creator not even able to get another exchange for miners to deposit into that shows how dedicated they are to their work. Good luck mining a worthless (at least true for now) coin.

First of all: It's not that easy just listing a coin on another exchange.
And it's not the creators fault that cryptopia doesn't fix the problem.

Well, no one said it's easy, but if the dev team cares at all about the future and success of their project, they should be more proactive in getting this done or at least keep the community updated about what's going on and what the plan is as it's our trust that decides the fate of this project at the end.

Also, disagree with the "not creators fault" part, there is definitely at least a bit to blame on them by not diversifying and not getting the coin listed on another exchange. Especially considering the coin has been around over 6 months so it's not like they have't got enough time to do this. Exchanges can go down or get closed, and if that happens to Cryptopia, then this coin is a good as dead.

This is money, after all, money is serious business and it should be treated as one.
Unfortunately I feel more and more like this is treated as a weekend side project than a real thing that I can put my money and trust in.

I'm not getting the point of having an account. There is already a wallet, why add an extra pointless step that makes using the currency more annoying?

If I mine coins to my wallet via a pool, I can't even do anything with them or transfer because I don't have an account and can't access operations.

This coin is stupid.

Agreed, this is completely unnecessary and so confusing for new users. I see this a a major downside of the coin that will affect adoption especially since there is no easy way to get the account. Contrary to what others, and especially devs, might think, setting up a wallet, figuring out how to use Slack and asking a Bot for and account (provided the bot works and devs aren't on vacation at the moment) is certainly not simple and not an easy way.

I'd love to hear from devs if there is any benefit or technological requirement for this indeed very weird implementation.

Any news on when the Cryptopia deposits issue/maintenance will be resolved? I've submitted ticked with Cryptopia but they are not particularly responsive nor they provided an ETA for it to be resolved which is a shame as they are the only exchange that lists PASL.

Fellow miners, how are you tackling this? Just hodling onto your PASLs for the time being?

excuse me.

I was previously an ethos user, and I just want to switch to smos.
I already paid deposit fee.
why the media that I give smos is always not readable in the bios? so i can not boot to smos.

I've tried to use flash, ssd & hdd the results are also the same, when I fill the smos is always not readable by bios.

I've tried using various software, such as: hddraw copy, etcher, rufus. but the result remains the same as above.

what's the solution?

hardware specifications:
motherboard asus b250 mining expert
vga 12pcs x rx 580
ram 8 giga.
psu 2 x corsair ax1200i
procie intel g4400

after and before thank you very much.

CSM has to be enabled, go to the advanced mode and enable it in the boot section.
