1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Encrypted wallet.dat, lost password, any solutions? on: June 27, 2013, 04:53:03 AM
Does knowing my Encrypted PriKey mean I can do anything more? For example, would using Extreme GPU Bruteforcer on the Encrypted PriKey help at all?

Anyone have a true brute force script?

I set a passphrase 3 months ago when I created this wallet, and haven't used it to send BTC out till now, have just been putting BTC in.
I remember I did something new, as opposed to a lot of my older passwords, and used letter/number substitutions. But I also think I may have created a phrase, shortened it to the first letter of each word, and then used cap/lower/number substitution. So at this point, I have no idea what it is. It might only between 8 and 12 characters, or I could be remembering it wrong and it could be 20-30.
I do not have a backup from before setting the passphrase, and am now kicking myself that I do not remember what it is.

I thought I remembered what it was, but it turns out the one I remembered was the RPC password I set.. Oops

I'd prefer a ruby or python script that I can run against bitcoind on linux as I have a linux server I can run it on and forget about it while its working.

Edit: Never mind, I changed the options on the Middle version of the ruby script and its running now.
3  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 96 BFL chip credits - 3 groups of 32 @ 1.2 BTC per group obo on: June 21, 2013, 12:56:22 PM
Adjusted USD value of BTC, I would like 3.6 OBO.
4  Economy / Computer hardware / [SOLD] 96 BFL chip credits - 3 groups of 32 @ 1.2 BTC per group obo on: June 20, 2013, 06:38:46 PM
I have 3 groups of 32 chips selling at 1.2 per group or 3.6 for all 3 obo
Due to the way BFL set this up, I cannot sell in smaller batches.

Each group of 32 will entitle you to $800 off, for a total savings of $2400, buy them all for ~$300 and save 2000 on your chip order.

BFL released just the PCB for the 5Gh jalapeno

Its in Altrium format.

The problem is you can only mount two chips on it (it has pads for 8 I think) otherwise it will get to hot and fry.

They are 10 Layer boards and they are NOT cheap to have manufactured even in 1000 lots they are like $30 a pop

I have already converted the Altrium files to Gerber files, pick files and Bill of materials files.

Yea, BFL also released the gerbers on their forum. I was surprised at the amount of layers. And bypass capacitors.
Those 0201 capacitors aren't actually populated I don't believe, although I'm just going off memory and I don't have a Jalapeno board here to check. It would be pretty strange to have a bunch of actual capacitors under the back plate though.
It has also been stated that you could run 8 chips,on it with proper cooling, and word has it the design they released has the mosfet's that generate too much heat. The same ones that they swapped out when designing the longboard.

Last thread hijack I promise but have you priced out the BOM yet? Some pricey support componentsit looks like.
Looks like about $200 for the PCB, assembly and components. That isn't set in stone yet, but should be close.
Are you still looking at 4 chips per board? Or considering more?
I ended up with 96 chip codes, so I might buy on my own now and wait for a good board design to come about.
7  Other / Beginners & Help / This is for MrTeal and his group buy. on: June 19, 2013, 05:49:33 PM
Since I'm new, I can't post anywhere but here and can't PM.
I'm interested in becoming a member of the BFL Chip group buy/board, and am trying to acquire chip credits atm.
Hopefully someone can inform him I'm interested if he does not see this post himself.
My goal is to buy 100+ chips for my own use in boards made for this group.

I also have some questions about how many chips the boards will be able to handle.

Thank you for your time.
