1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Recovering address with bip32 on: December 08, 2017, 01:29:52 PM
Hello!
I'm trying to recover my address with bip32. I have a pending request with my wallet Electrum, the well-done transaction with blockchain and no btc.
How can I get my address there with an order to Derivation Path?

update to the latest version of electrum if you haven't done so already. then do this: https://www.reddit.com/r/Electrum/comments/7g9qfr/bitcoin_sent_to_an_old_address/dqik4gt/?context=3

Do you see your address?

I have installed the newest 3.0.2 with Windows, the net connection was ok, synch ok, still nothing.  Even with the hucked transaction must be in history within seeds, why not?
What for right now? Huh

For sure. What I did: firstly, it was my first experience with Electrum wallet and with buying BTC. So, I only bought them, nothing must be in the change. That's true, there no my address. Only other, unused.  Secondly, I used to install all available versions, actually, they are still unavailable with Ubuntu 17, see,  99% go and with last one wallet has broken with installation, reason sounds like peer blocked or some. So, I have installed the Electrum 3.0.2 with Windows, it was connected, synch but... No result.
I don't have any idea what else. I sure, everything must be with seeds, even with the hucked transaction it must be in history or some. Actually, I have a screen with a pending request.
What right now? Huh

Please, I need make a topic with addresses more clear. I found a lot questions with an old address which never again appeared in Electrum wallet.
People gave receiving address to buy BTC then never saw this addresses in own wallet.
In my case it was like  I used to buy BTC from the exchange  "Ukr Cash", I can see transaction via blockchain.info, however, address not found in the console Electrum with 'get private keys' command. Maybe my wallet was fake or hucked, but it doesn't look like. Everything must be inside my seeds which one had never been put anywhere else.
Looks, like it's a common way for losing BTC for a lot of people.

Is it possible to do something? For example, replacement with a fork or something else.
or just seeds must have to include all history. Roll Eyes
