there's nothing new in my list actually, most of ppl hold that coins because they're more stable than others.

Altcoins are certainly not useless, but unfortunately 95% of them have no practical use. I would like more altcoins to be used as a means of payment in markets like ModulTrade

Hi guys. I'm wondering what's your opinion on the goods purchased in currencies other than euros or dollars, say crypto. I'm aware it's being used as a regular currency in various fields now. There are, for instance, lots of successfully run marketplaces based on crypto out there.
Over the past year, the market capitalization within crypto soared to the Moon. Unfortunately, it's been a bear trend for a while now and no one can say for sure when it's gone. However, I am still thinking there's some light at the end of the tunnel - new market, pretty few competitors, great potential. So it's high time to become an active user.
So that begs the questions: Your thoughts on crypto as a payment method? Any progress achived in the upcoming year?

The topic is great. I find the complexity of monitoring of transactions being quite a drawback. Banks and other financial organizations responsible simply don’t have any possibility of doing that, I mean they cannot monitor the issuing and movement of currencies as well as the withdrawal of transactions seem not to be possible.

Spend wisely. Remember that btc or eth are likely to go moon this year, so don't spend everything buying goods, not more than 10%. If crypto marketplaces are the only option to get something (due to logistic or smth like this), then do it. Do the research, choose the safest platform with the variety of goods you need. Simple as that.

I heard there's kinda insurance schemes for saving your assets, does anyone know more?
insurance schemes, for protecting from market moves? no such thing. nobody provides that kind of insurance, especially in the crypto world. the only thing you can really do is hedge your holdings by shorting or selling. i hedge by selling futures contracts on bitmex with leverage---that way i can minimize the amount of funds deposited on exchanges. exactly. no one will take responsibility of the market moves, so the ball's in your court. it sounds like you want to shift the responsibility onto somebody else tbh  |

In my opinion, the reason why people began to invest less in cryptocurrency is simple. They are afraid to fail. Analysts advise not to invest all funds in any one currency, but to divide investments into different coins.

I haven't heard anything about good gameplay for such projects. Not so sure about the Ethereum network, but cryptokitties and others (numerous of) are same: buy something that's correlated with the project's token. Technically those are not real games, but another sauce to sell us more dishes called scammy ICO tokens. I don't know where you heard about cryptokitties and other ethereum games, but they are not scam. It's a collective game with microtransactions. It's just a game and they are not stealing people's money. They have done a great job and many other projects just copied them. Eth network had problems when cryptokitties released, but it was just for a few days/hours and never happened again. It was a good network test and was positive for the network. If ethereum is to grow, many games like this are going to be online Yes, it was a test for the entire network. But crypto cats were the only ones. What will happen to the network if such projects will be many times more? |
