Sofern es sich tatsächlich um einen quasi "technisch bedingten Ersatz" handelt, ändert sich steuerlich sicherlich nichts.
Die Haltefrist, bzw. der Anschaffungszeitpunkt der Original-Coins wird an die Ersatz-Coins vererbt.
Das ist in etwa so, als würdest du einen alten Geldschein bei der Bank durch einen neuen ersetzen.
Aber: wenn es sich nicht um einen echten Ersatz handelt, sondern um einen Fork, hast du heute sowohl alte als auch neue Coins.
Auch wenn die alten Coins nicht mehr real gehandelt werden, haben sie weiterhin irgendeinen Wert, selbst wenn dieser Wert sehr nahe bei 0 liegt.
Für den Anschaffungszeitraum ändert aber auch das nichts, da es sich bei Forks (wie wir bei BCash festgestellt haben) wohl sinnvoll nur um eine Art "Aktiensplit" handelt.
Kurz gesagt: so oder so ändert sich für dich nichts. Du behältst weiterhin die alte Haltefrist, auch für die neuen Coins.
Sinnvoll ist es sicherlich, das einigermaßen zu dokumentieren, also im Zweifelsfall irgendwo einen Screenshot von der Ankündigung des Tauschs o.ä. aufzubewahren.

Aus aktuellem Anlass habe ich nun auch eine recht spezielle Frage: Wie verhält es sich mit Coins die man quasi als Ersatz für einen vorherigen Coin bekommt?
In diesem Fall hatte ich letztes Jahr OysterPearl gekauft, die ja nun geforked wurden. Die alten Coins sind nun wertlos und werden nicht mehr gehandelt, das Team hat einen Fork erstellt und man hat nun die gleiche Menge OPQ bekommen. Die Haltefrist für die PRL wäre mittlerweile vorbei, ein Verkauf somit steuerfrei. Die neuen sind ja nun eigentlich ein Ersatz für die alten Coins, sind mir aber jetzt erst zugeflossen und würden laut bisheriger Beiträge komplett versteuert werden müssen, sollte ich sie jemals verkaufen, oder?
Oder könnte ich das in diesem Fall irgendwie glaubhaft machen, dass es sich ja quasi um dieselben coins handelt, da die alten ja mehr oder weniger ersetzt wurden?

Are Shells already listed on some exchanges? Is there demand for Shells?
They are listed on Kucoin at the moment. Not sure about other exchanges. |

About the airdrop, i have my coins on Kucoin. Is kucoin accept the airdrop? Or must i remove my coins to MEW? Anybody knows this?
That is not decided yet as far as I know. But if you don't plan on trading them right away, I would definitely move them from the exchange for security reasons alone. |

But why? I mean, would you rather pay to read some news article online or just give some of your CPU/GPU? Nobody is going to keep writing articles/whatever for free...If they won't be able to get paid by ads/Oyster, they will just include subscriptions. I think it is so low just because of the current downward momentum of all coins. It is going to go high, especially when they can show the working project. well websites can simply do both and if it gets popular browsers might block it Of course they can. But Oyster would give them the opportunity to even earn on users with adblockers. Plus, they will evaluate their ROI. If less ads means more users and faster loading times, the ROI could actually be the same as if using ads. Just think of the fact that every ad that is blocked does not generate any revenue. |

Doch. Durch die riesige Menge und Verbreitung allerdings mit wenig Fluktuation. Das ganze ist als Inflation bekannt und an einzelnen Produkten schön zu sehen. Generell kannst Du davon ausgehen, dass die Kaufkraft eines Euro unter - für Dich - guten Bedingungen in den nächsten 20 Jahren auf nahezu 50% der heutigen Kaufkraft sinkt. Dieser Kaufkraftverlust ist politisch gewollt und wird in der herrschenden(sic) Ökonomie als alternativlos propagiert. Tatsächlich hält er die Menschen im Hamsterrad der Sklaverei und zwingt sie, alles für die Eigentümer dieses Geldes zu machen. Alles bedeutet, wenn es diesen Eigentümern gefällt ins Gras zu beissen.
Der Witz daran... es ist unsere menschliche Natur. Der BTC wird daran auch nichts ändern, er legt die Herrschaft nur in andere Hände und ob das am Ende besser ist wird sich zeigen. Es gibt feine Unterschiede. Niemand sperrt beim Bitcoin selektiv Dein Konto (unzählige Fälle weltweit). Niemand erklärt über Nacht ausgewählte Token für ungültig (Indien: 500/1000 Rupien Scheine). Niemand beschlagnahmt Dein Vermögen bis auf einen definierten Restbetrag (Malta). Niemand begrenzt Dein tägliches Zahlungsbudget (Griechenland). Niemand bestimmt für Dich, dass Du morgen ein anderes Token nutzen musst (Hard Fork). Du liegst aber in einem Punkt richtig - Freiheit muss verteidigt werden, sonst nimmt sie Dir morgen einer weg. Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves... Naja, die Staaten haben aber schon ihre Mittel und Wege, wenn sie denn wollen. Man bedenke z. B. die Zwangssteuer für Immobilienbesitzer damals nach dem Krieg. Egal wie wir es drehen und wenden - letztendlich sind wir doch in gewisser Weise dem System unterworfen (oder würden uns bewusst strafbar machen). Klar, könnten sie nicht einfach deine Coins beschlagnahmen, aber wenn du weder legal damit bezahlen, noch legal auscashen könntest, würde dir das auch nicht viel bringen. Oder man müsste in dem Fall dann auswandern. Ich glaube nicht, dass es dazu kommt, aber ich denke im Bezug auf die Besteuerung werden wir schon recht bald entsprechende Entscheidungen sehen (z. B. Aufhebung der Haltefrist). |

Leider ist die Neu-Anmeldung bei Bittrex immer noch nicht freigeschaltet. Nutze daher nur binance, bin auch recht zufrieden damit.
Hat jemand Erfahrung mit EtherDelta um evtl. PPP zu kaufen?
Ich habe schon einige Tokens über EtherDelta gekauft, aber es ist schon wirklich gewöhnungsbedürftig und oft reagiert die Seite schlecht. Außerdem darf man nicht unterschätzen, was da an Gas für die contracts zusammenkommt. Da sind einige andere Exchanges deutlich günstiger. Allerdings hat man bei Etherdelta auch oft die Möglichkeit, die Tokens günstig zu kriegen, bevor sie auf anderen Exchanges gelistet werden. Auf jeden Fall würde ich immer ein eigenes Wallet nur fürs Traden erstellen und niemals meine vorhandene Wallet importieren. Pack nur das an ETH drauf, was du für die Transaktionskosten und den Kauf brauchst und transferier alles was du hinterher nicht sofort weiter traden willst zurück in eine sichere Wallet. |

Das ist zwar richtig was du schreibst. Ich halte es jedoch für unwahrscheinlich, dass Leute, die Ihr Geld aktuell auf Tagesgeldkonten versauern lassen auf einmal in Krypto investieren.
...nicht alle, aber ich bin mir sicher das es da eine Umschichtung geben wird zwar nicht von heute auf morgen aber auf lange Sicht ja. Das wird aber wohl noch einige Zeit dauern. Die Deutschen sind und bleiben paranoid wenn es um risikoreichere Anlagen geht. Zumal man sich ja auch erst einiges aneignen muss (Wallets, Sicherheit für private keys, Exchanges, etc). Die Generation die gerade so 30+ ist, ist zwar in der Regel schon so weit mit der Technik vertraut, dass sie einen Computer, ihr Smartphone und Netflix bedienen können, aber sie sind nicht zwingend in einer Welt der Technik aufgewachsen und haben oftmals Angst davor. Von der Generation 50+ erst gar nicht zu reden. Die Generation die mit allem aufwächst und vielleicht weniger Angst davor hat, hat ja - zumindest noch - nicht unbedingt größere Ersparnisse da liegen. |

It depends on the altcoins you want to buy. If you choose some solid project, I think you can make more than if you are just holding bitcoin. But make sure to spread your investment. I think ETH, Waves, NEO are some really safe bets, ELIX and PRL are also some nice opportunities imo.
But make sure to research your projects and only invest in those that you see useful long term.

Da ich ja nicht so der top10 fan bin setze ich dieses Jahr auf Ardor, Waves, Xspec, Elix, Telcoin und Peculium.  Wächst der Crpytomarkt weiter wie bisher sollte ich mit diesen Coins den Durchschnittswachstum übertreffen  Sehr gute Wahl! Vor allem Waves, Ardor und Elix sehe ich sehr positiv. |

I have to disagree with you on that. Cryptocurrency needs to evolve and grow for it to be mainstream. We already know that blockchain technology will be the future and it is only a matter of time before it is widely adopted. Like all technology, we saw the flaws of bitcoin and other cryptos like railblocks, iota, and cardano are offering solutions. I can use the same comparison to back in the AOL, Netzero, and Netscape days of Internet 1.0. Imagine still using dial up? So yea, Bitcoin will be obsolete soon and will only be used as a store of value.
Correct me if I am wrong, but a currency or platform that makes changing one coin for another easier and reduces the high transaction cost of mined currencies would a) be a step in development and would b) make adoption easier. I am well aware that there are some tokens that already aim for that direction - for example bancor. But bancor is a ERC20 token and I know a lot of users that are complaining about really high gas prices when they want to exchange. I know that this is a long road we still have to go, but I think for a really good adoption by "everyday people" a lot needs to happen to simplify the buying process (talking about most alts and tokens here, buying btc or eth is fairly easy already). But try to explain your spouse or your parents how to buy coins on an exchange or what to do with your coins should something ever happen to you. |

I think what the cryptoworld need is a much more stable coin as currency of trade and not BTC. Let each of the alts sink or swim on their own and not rely on BTC. BTC causes tidal waves that disrupt the entire crypto right now. It helps many times but in general, it reflects too much volatility. It was necessary then but I think we should start migrating to another coin currency for trade. Don't mind me, just rambling.  Rambling or not - it would be great. A lot of exchanges listed ETH pairs for most currencies, but lately ethereum transactions are no fun either. Trading has become really expensive lately if you don't want to have your coins stored on the exchanges. |

I wanted, but my transactions were all stuck in limbo. If they'd have gone through in time I would probably have bought some more waves and some REQ.
Still got some more ETH, but mainly to cover transactions and have some ready for a nice ICO when I see something interesting in the future.

The new website is a shit hole. Like just the top of it, it looks so boring. Also they should rather focus less on advertising but on the idea/concept itself.
Their product can be so much more than just that. And thats what people want to invest in. In a vision, a dream. Stop destroying peoples invest with this shitty website and take it off the net today. Also Oyster has been crashing ever since the website (before the whole market crash).
I really thought this is a great team at Oyster and they will build something great. Adapt old ideas and find ways that work. Like the few superstars. But this website makes me doubt them a lot. What good company would put such a shit site up ? People dont want another "we fix advertising" scam company they want a VISION for new ways to live our lifes in the future. The old website conveyed that.
The Oyster product might be used for much bigger things than just fixing advertising. Who even cares to fix advertising when two thirds of the world use adblockers? Its like Oyster had the whole world open to take and they rather focused on their toilet. END THIS MADNESS NOW.
The thing is that for all websites that do not offer services the ads are the only income they have - think about blogs, news portals, etc. Yes, ads are annoying and take a lot of resources to load - in fact, for some sites they make up 90% of the total loading time). When users started to no longer recognize ads, the advertising teams came up with new ways (huge overlays, etc) and people started to use ad blockers. So yes, I can tell that there are a lot of people that care about "fix advertising". When websites can generate revenue with a small percentage of CPU of the user (which might have even less effect than all the JS code that needs to load to display ads), both parties will benefit. The only ones that don't are the companies that offer advertising. |

Does anyone has a idea WHY the price dropped so hard today? I mean they just got their new website online and doesn't that normally lead to a rise?
Well the consolidation of the market, the Korea ban fud and the KuCoin Bitcoin Diamond fud are mostly reasons for this... Lot's of young & unexperienced investors pulled out causing this huge decrease! Happened to many good projects like Elixir as well. My portfolio nearly decreased by 45% nevertheless I am going to hold all of my promising coins and I am sure they will recover latest end of February..  as you can see... nearly the whole crypto market is going down, its a normal reaction... a crash would be bigger..! We are all spoiled by the big moves ... dont panic, just hold !! I would like to said that. Crypto markets falling today, CMC turn into the red. Always after a rise it wil go down for a correction, soon it wil rise again. Just hodl no matter whats going outside there. Are sure about that? We are now on 1/3 price... You can never be sure, but I would definitely not sell so short before the testnet launch. |

PRL is experiencing an all natural correction after x800 bull run in a month and a half. + some whales selling the news. Don't panick sell, you'll regret it at the end of january!

The new website and logo look pretty good. But I agree on the roadmap - that should at least be linked from the mainsite. But maybe that is in the making.
