PM Sent, I am looking to get about 20-25 keys.

I am looking to buy Team Fortress Mann Co. Keys at a value of around 1.5USD, so about 0.0017-0.0018btc at current rate according to http://preev.com/. I'm also looking for some crates if you have any you want to dispose of, but I am not going to pay for those. PM Me

So how is the power supply situation going to be handled? The KnCMiners don't come with one.

I'm considering starting a new GB (or merging with this one) for BitFury's 400GH Kit. I would like to diversify my (and shareholders) investments into companies I believe in. KnCMiner was one and others have not really caught my eye. I do like what BitFury has to offer along with prototypes seen.
So the question is, anyone interested in a merged or new GB for BitFury's 400GH miner?
I am still weary on BitFury, but as part of a group buy, I could show some interest in it if the price and rate catch my eye.

I think I've found a mistake in CoiningSolutions. If you select @300M difficulty down below, the difficulty in the chart changes to 120M.
I cannot replicate.

The numbers on http://coiningsolutions.com/ actually seem fairly low compared to the trends I have had on EclipseMC Mining Pool. When normalizing my average returns hashing power to 5gh/s, I compute about 0.09-0.11 btc/day per 5gh/s before fees. Results are using a difficulty of 31256961 for the past 3 weeks.

I was thinking of something simple, like when the payout per share sum is at 1.0 and 1.1btc, no matter the present value of btc, then post a congrats message. This would be the same for everyone on that miner.
It would also be cool to have a system setup that will either email or update an rss/json feed when blocks are solved with the miners or their mining pools. Many pools have an api or auto send out emails, so this should not be too difficult to implement. With my current setup, one of the best things is getting a txt message stating you have more money. I do email forwarding to my phone.

Once we do start mining, it would be cool to see a complexity trend log, that looks at timing between jumps to better predict longer term outcomes.
Also when each miner hits a break-even point for shares, announce it on the thread.
Break-even being in BTC 1.0 for 1 and 2, 1.1 for 3+ unless things change. Break-even is on total rewards per share after fee.
It may also be something to add an adjustment for difference in BTC/USD ratio. Then, assuming it is 140 USD to 1 BTC, we would break-even even earlier. With this, it would probably be a good idea to either look at the ratio when you ordered or when we start mining or just have a box where people could put in how much btc were worth in USD when they sent to you and how much.

The numbers in http://coiningsolutions.com/ do seem to follow my trends. You may want to setup a google read-only spreadsheet instead of exporting from Excel, unless you plan on doing more to the design. With Google you can add miners or update the layout, with revision tracking, without having to reexport/upload/etc. The downside, it's Google, but they do already have your data anyway. It may be good to add another note for people who are not used to mining that some days you make less some days you make more and that this a mean estimate.

Hey look, MT Gox is > $100 average, totally should ... blah blah bitpay; had to do it.
Not sure what your intention with this post was? You're either mocking share holders (future or current) questions or mocking my reasoning behind the payment amount.. either way.. neither is really necessary or acceptable. This is an open and all friendly group buy and I do not want nor do I need any drama tied to this so please refrain from non-sense ok? If you're not happy I will be more than happy to refund your shares. WH I will back down, I felt like there was a need for some humor since I read your statement of "As I've stated numerous times and also..." as you were being annoyed. I was one of the original people who was looking at MTGox's prices and commenting about it. If anything, I was mocking myself and meant no harm by it. I was actually quite pleased to see that the avg had hit $100 mark on MTGox. I am sorry to anyone that my comment came off as having malicious intent, trolling or trying to create drama.

I have 1 share available in Miner #3. First to reply here gets it. (do not send payment yet)
I totally had misread that at first thinking someone had bought a share and was giving it away to the community, not buying it... I am glad I did not respond when I first saw it, lol. I was like, I will let this pass since I have some on that box already.

Reserve 3 shares for me in miner 5.
I hope it won't be confusing with me having shares in miner 3 and 5.
Can I get this miner earnings put into a different wallet than my miner 3? I would like to keep the two separate, kinda for statistics and peace of mind.
Marked you down for 3 more in #5. Won't be at all! Yessir! Either send from a different address or just shoot me the specific one you would like to use- not a problem! WH 3.3 btc sent tx: 9d17866c4afa8efb458673b2815359e58b48f770804df4240ab733725c2628f5 For miner 5 please deposit to: 1A6at2JLcRSCc7SrtXpWSBvj6AaYW2RsgY For security, the deposit address is one of the funding sources.

We hit 104 today so far. Ordered?

Can we set a date where if the price of bitcoins don't hit 100 that we can request refunds and be out of the group buy?

As a BFL Asic Miner, I like Eclipse MC - using bfgminer. I find with Eligius, it can take a while to get to the min and you can't adjust it, and if we are doing weekly drafts, it may not be best. Another one I like is DeepBit. Ozcoin is nice but I found my returns were smaller than expected. But either way, most pools have an API where you can pull the data, so it would be fairly trivial to create a site to show stats. Also many have email alerts on events, so we could have a forwarding event or parser for that.
Depending on how my time is when the hardware comes, I can possibly assist in this.

So how is the mining going to be done? Is it going to be solo mining, part of a pool, part of multiple pools? If pool(s), which? If multiple pools, what type of change management strategy will be used? Would you be doing DGM, PPS, or other? Would there be voting on these things?
I know that things could change between now and when the boxes come, but I was just wondering the game plan.
