1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Spectrecoin[XSPEC] TOR+OBFS4, Ring Sig, Stealth! on: March 03, 2018, 09:17:31 PM
Every day passing without 1.4 release is another confirmation this is a scam.
It is not fud, all accusations are documented. The silence of the dev is yet another confirmation of it all.

Hope this will die soon so people can focus on real projects.

Dont know if this issue was mentionned here before but what do you deep onion people think of the fact Tor might be compromised.
Came across severa articles mentionning this over the last few years, last one just yesterday:

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-03-02/tor-project-almost-100-funded-us-government-report

If true than the whole Deeponion project might be useless...

Not trying to spread fud but this is the only reason why I did not invest in this coin yet.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Tony should burn the remaining coins the same way Nano (railblocks) dev did. Thus, resulted to exponential increase in price.

Burning coins is not good for future growth. It would be like saying this is the maximum of users we will ever have so we don't need more coins.

I believe distribution should not be entirely free. Deepoion is a good example of 'free' distribution where users have to actively show their engagement in the promotion of the coin to get their share.

Can anyone give an example of a darkweb seller accepting XSPEC?

WTS a large number of blackbyte, 250k - 500k MBB, PM offers (ABOVE current market price)

Did you try one of the blackbyte bots?
I dont see why I would buy above marketprice...

If I understand correctly your plan is to copy all innovations from Zcash based coins and compile them into 1 coin.
How will this coin ever have real value if you are always 1 step behind?

I also think it is funny to have a dating platform in your roadmap while your main theme is anonymity and privacy.
To me dating and anonymity are not compatible at all, it would be the biggest nigerian scammer platform on the internet Cheesy

Your roadmap also seems quite impressive and ambitous, are you the only dev?

PS: could you send me your spreadsheet comparing all anonymous coins please?

Wich you the best for you project!

5 Of The Most Undervalued Privacy Coins

In a bear market it may seem strange to some to go hunting for alts to buy while everyone’s panic selling. I would argue that this is actually a very good time to go shopping around. There’s many coins at lows we may not see again when the market turns bullish.

No-one knows for sure whether or not the bleeding’s stopped, but as BTC has returned to the price it was before the crazy winter ’17 pump, it’s likely that many inexperienced investors (who’ve gotten cold-feet from recent, high-profile and calculated FUD) have now been shaken out and we’ll see a recovery soon. Cryptos are not going anywhere. Though the media, banks and governments would like them to disappear; the genie is out of the bottle now.

In this blog I’ll concentrate specifically on Privacy coins.

All decent coins are undervalued at the moment just because they all follow BTC drop. You could put any coin in you article a be right lol.
I dont understand why you would put Verge as number 2. It just exploded thanks to agressive marketing and mass effect imo. I dont see what makes it so special...

Hi ,
I was about to transfer my coins from my temporary windows wallet to my linux wallet to set up my masternode but then all my coins dissapeared...?!?
I think they started staking while I had my wallet open setting up my linux wallet. When I looked back to send them they were gone. Is is possible to just transfer my wallet.dat file to my linux wallet to get them back? Or should I redownload a new windows wallet and send the coins? Thank you for your time.

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anonymity, Security and Privacy: Anonymous Cryptocurrency Enhancement Comparsion on: January 05, 2018, 08:40:11 PM
Thank you for your time invested in this comparisson, much appreciated!!

I believe adding an extra feature "marketplace" would also be nice.
Afther all, these coins are made to be spent, so I think a platform for anomymous trade is a very good feature.

This especialy now the deep web is being overrun by LE and all major markets where shut down.

Thank you kokopopz,

I think you're the third person to suggest "marketplace".... So ok...I'll add it haha...but I could use some help coming up with the right "name" for it.

First of all we have to know what the objective is.    I'll throw one out:   To allow private, anonymous, peer-to-peer , and "legal" exchange of goods.   (?)

"legal" is an aweful term...everything's legal somewhere, and everything is illegal somewhere else.   By "legal", I'm implying that it is legal in most developed countries.   And, hopefully, would be the most minimal risk to most users.

Now of course, even the most compliant solution will have legal implications in some places, and as such it should be built to protect the users.   Ie., an otherwise marketplace for Venezuelans to get basic medicine.

Things like account balances can be dangerous.

My concern with the terms "marketplace" and "exchange" is that these are things which are often shut down.    Maybe we have to use that term.  If anyone can think of a better one let me know

How about "e-commerce platform"?
Like you said legality is a very relative concept. So I think you should leave it out of you definition.
That is why an anonymous marketplace is such a beautifull thing, it disables centralized state intervention. In my opinion this is in line with the original intention of bitcoin and all coins on your list. The main purpose of anonymity is maintaining independance and preventing third party medling from other people AND the authorities. So I would not worry too much about the law when discussing anonymous money Smiley

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [OFFICIAL] [SAFEX] Safe Exchange Coin [website www.safex.io] on: January 04, 2018, 09:20:44 PM
There are plenty of other similar projects that actualy move forward and communicate.
What do you people think of Particl, Phore, Bitbay,...?

Particl in particular seems to be the exact same as Safex but with even beter features.
And they plan on launching there market Q1 of this year.

I hope for the best to all here but to be honest I dont believe the curent devs have the technical capability to come up with the market place.
I had doubts ever since they struggled with the wallet. And their wallet is not even that special...
I held on giving them some time to prove they could provide what they claim. But ever since that chaotic wallet release nothing else was delivered.

Dan is maybe not an intentional scammer but he was maybe a little to optimistic about his personnal capabilities and now he finds himself stuk by his engagements and unable to deliver what he promissed.

Conclusion: move to Particl if you where not in this for the money but for the idea of a decentralized anomymous marketplace. Safex is dead!

I have a question regarding the upcomming marketplace.

How do you plan dealing with illegal activity?
Will you cooperate with law enforcement or will every one be free to sell wathever they want (drugs, weapons,...)?

If you would not be willing to cooperate with law enforcement, would sellers and buyers have the oportunity to stay anonymous?
Concidering you implemented Zerocoin protocol I imagine anonimity in the marketplace is just as important as anonymous payments.

Thank you for your time.

Yes, but i arleady have new version.
I download it again, make repair and still not working.

any ideas?
anyone have same problem?

Go to C:/User/USERNAME/AppData/Roaming/Hush and backup wallet.dat to desktop (this is your keys). Remove everything else in folder. Then launch the daemon/wallet. The will force a resync and *should* help. Don't forget to replace the new wallet.dat with your backup wallet.dat.

Yes. Working fine. And then i replaced it with my wallet.dat. But now i have 0 on balance. May be i see all my coins after sync?

This did not work for me. I just resynced but it is still stuck at october 25.
When i try to repair it says "The secific account alrready exists."
I do not know if i installed it correctly, would be gratefull if someone could help.
PS: Wallet version is 0.68.6

Sounds like you may need to add some nodes to your conf file if syncing gets stuck, did you sync from scratch?

Yes I synced from scratch but the wallet keeps getting stuck at the 'mandatory wallet update block' and I get the error message above in the original post.
I think I did something wrong trying to update the wallet. I tried to follow the instructions here and on reddit as in posr from pro_x from October 29, 2017, 07:05:33 PM without success.
