1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PHS][50% PoS ONLY!] PhilosopherStones | ACTIVE Dev! | ~64% Yearly | on: February 13, 2018, 09:54:28 PM
This was interesting to see when some minted coins showed up last night, after running the client for a few weeks (off n on)! Grin

Looking up my address:  9jzrgBnBY8V7LH9cSgvyYMtL9wbrgyt6RV  on philosopherstones.org/block/

the transaction:
f6e41098360c26faf62203462bcb93be935e453becb674b96095b48991aa3023

The Operation History Tab show my POS reward as 43.99589000 PHS
but,
when I go to the Unspent Inputs Tab, the POS amount shows as 98.88279800 PHS
a difference of 54.886908 PHS.

My wallet only shows the 43.99589 amount as well.   After looking thru all my POS rewards, the same thing has happened with all of them!
******Another reward just came in  Cheesy as I typed this and it also has different amounts between the two "info" tabs on the Block Explorer.

Can anyone give me some insight on what's going on?
Two clues to this, one:  following the transactions connected to each reward, it seems some of the newly minted coins are being "sent forward" to future POS rewards?
the second clue, under Transaction Details, it shows some of the coins "Not Yet Redeemed".

Love to find out where to "redeem" a bit over 100 PHS that hasn't been credited!!  Huh

I've been running my client for 7 days now and didn't understand why I wasn't minting anything

How old is your coins? It generally takes 10 days to stake. And if amount of coins, or chunks are less that 1000 PHS even much longer.

Some of my coins are from 2014, I ran the fix / repair wallet stuff on the wallet and they came out fine.
I got 21 coins of interest on 1/10/2018.
I also bought some coins on 1/24/2018, so that makes them a bit over 14 days.

My Stake value on Overview says : 0
the console info shows my coins weight is 2935 and network weight is 2442167.
I have a 50% chance of interest in next 19 days.  (per getinfo/getmininginfo)

I hope that helps with any suggestions as to what to look for.   I do try to keep the wallet fired up most of the week to help out.
I'd hoped to see even a little number show up in Staked!  Smiley

Thanks for the tip on having more than 1000 coins too.  I'll be buying a "few" more to get to that level at least.  Good to know.

Is the wallet broke for windows?  Downloaded the strap and it loads but the client just sits afterwards...

Hi,

add or create philospherstone.conf in these directories

Nix  ~/.Philosopherstone# Philospherstone.conf

Code:

addnode=82.20.109.111
addnode=207.233.58.100
addnode=108.170.1.134

Or, in QT client (Help>debug>console>
(paste one at a time)

Code:
addnode 165.227.242.199 add

Ill have new client with seednodes sometime soon for fast sync

I've been running my client for 7 days now and didn't understand why I wasn't minting anything and I'm not sure if this is part of the problem or I'm misreading the debug.log file.   These nodes show up in the Log file as not answering for over 393896.5 hours (about 45 years!) Smiley

If they could be taken off the future addnode list, I'm thinking it might help speed up the whole network.
The Log file shows my wallet taking time out to "wait" for an answer.

Just a Neophyte's take on the log file!

Keep up the good work!
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [POOL] Mining Dutch ( SCRYPT, X11, SHA256 + MULTIPORT + BTC Convertion) on: January 29, 2018, 10:12:19 PM
Does anyone have a working CONF file for BFGminer 5.10 to get a GAW Miner to work with this site?  I've spent hours fine tuning but never get it to mine shares:

BFGMiner  --scrypt -S opencl:noauto -o stratum+tcp://mining-dutch.nl:3335#skipcbcheck -u Account.WORKER -p x  -o stratum+tcp://mining-
dutch.nl:3435#skipcbcheck -u Account.WORKER -p x  --set zeusminer:chips=6 --set zeusminer:clock=320 -S zeusminer:\\.\COM53 -d zeusminer@\\.\COM53

If I leave off #skipcbcheck, I get "All pools are DEAD" and "multiple inputs are in coinbase"

If I leave it on, I get an "ALIVE" connection to the pool, but zero hashing of shares.
It appears to work except the Ave hashing is Zero (the first 2 speeds do show up?)
and there is zero for Accepted / Rejected shares.

Is there something more this pool needs?  Other pools work fine.  I left it running for 15 minutes and all results still zero.

Sad

"Could you hit the "Top" button for me?"

LOL! Grin
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie first system build on: June 28, 2013, 01:44:33 AM
I just started myself on Cryptomining, crying that I missed the Bitcoin stampede last year!  The DIFF has exploded since March as the ASIC's have come online.
Thumbs up to trying for LTC, but I've also had "fun" going for CHN Coin, American Coin (with a li'l old GT520 that was dusty and lonely!) and putting some Feathercoins
in my Cap... just in case any of them explode like BTC did!!  The newer coins will have a lower DIFF level so you'll feel richer, quicker!  Smiley

I had a box of "CAD classroom rig" spares:  GTX650's and super "RAM'd" GT630's (4Gig!!) and currently have them paired up two to a machine
(I leave a GT520 on as a display driver on my main rig to run the display without lagging or taking away from the main miner)
They don't run too hot, and being in the basement of a large school, plenty of chilly air to blow across them for free!!  (free juice is nice too)!

I use cudaminer on them and it's working fine for past 4 months.  You do have to use a stratum proxy, but at least the program boosts Nvidia Mining approx
10 - 25% !!  (sadly Nvidia's Suck Donkey at BTC mining!!! Grin)

GitHub has the Stratum proxy and Cudaminer for download.  When using the Proxy, make sure to chop off everything, including the double // before the pool name.
The Proxy doesn't need that info, and I've seen that tidbit mess people up!  And make SURE you plug in the correct Port Number!!!

Good Luck!
