Hi Doctor83,
- do you plan Linux version (.deb) - or even better package for integration with HiveOS ?

- If yes, when we can expect it ?

- ... or can I (or someone from community) help you ?

thanks...
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBPolaris V3 - BIOS editor for RX4XX and RX5XX cards on: November 27, 2017, 12:31:42 AM

HI doktor83, I tried the new version but it seems its braking VRM voltage settings. There are 3 profiles and after seeting core voltage using offset, i found the setting also in second profile of VRM.

Example:
In SRBPolaris:
1) I changed 1750 strap, saved.
2) Opened again and set mem freq to 2125 and saved
3) opened and set GPU voltage to 65286 and saved.
... noticed, that VRM voltage was 1000mV at all profiles.

flashed and run. OverDriveNTool shows following default card settings now:
GPU: P1-P4, 800-1025, P5-P7 is 1125mV
VRM: P1 - 800mV, P2-1125, P3-950

The VRM voltage is totally different than spotted in SRBPolaris tool and P2 seems to be broken (set to core voltage).

doktor83 would you mind to take a look again if there is everything ok with SRBPolaris VRM voltage and bios I pasted few days ago please ?

Thanks...

I checked this exact thing with PBE (set mem.mV), you won't get those settings in OverDrive either.
Guess the setting in the bios gets overwritten, but i will check the code to be sure when i get some time.

I did some more investigation. I used 3 cards

All set to original bios showed in OverDrive:

GPU: P0-P4 950mV up to 1181mV, P5-P7: 1150mV (values changed by card slightly)
GPU fequencies 300, 600, 900, 1145, 1215, 1257, 1300, 1366Mhz
Mem: P0-750mV (300MHz), P1-800mV (1000MHz), P3-950mV (2000mHz), AMD wattman shows state 0 & 1: "N/A" and state 2: 950mV.

Test 1. - GPU freq to 1275MHz

I changed original rom GPU freq P7 to 1275, flashed a restarted overdrive shows:
GPU: P0-P4: 300 up to 1215, P5: 1257, P6: 1300, P7: 1275
Mem: same like original

In PBE 1.6.4 I see the same values as in overdrive - for GPU (P0-P4: 300 up to 1215, P5: 1257, P6: 1300, P7: 1275 ).
In PBE (and SRB) Memory is 1000mV for all profiles, but overdrive shows 750/800/950mV. I also checked it in AMD wattman, and it shows state 0 & 1: "N/A" and state 2: 950mV.

Test 2. core voltage using offset

I took original rom and changed core voltage from 65288 to 65285 in SRB and flashed. After restard Overdrive showed

GPU: frequencies was changed to 300, 766, 866, 966, 1066, 1166, 1266, 1366Mhz (compare with original values). Issue is visible in PBE as well.
GPU voltage was changed from to P5 (originally 65285) up to 1366 to (65285) except P6 which remained at 65286 (visible in PBE).
Mem: P0-750mV (300MHz), P1-1025mV (1000MHz), P3-950mV (2000mHz) - noticable in overdrive 0.2.2.
Memory voltage of P1 was different for each card, seems to be changed exactly same value as GPU profile 4 (1066MHz/1025mV).

Test 3. memory voltage
Original rom, memory voltage set to 750/862/962mV:
After restart, everything seemed to be like original rom, including MEM voltage. It seems this change didn't changed anything.

linux wolf tool:
Memory state 0: VDCC 750, VDDCI 800, MVDD 750, clock 300
Memory state 1: VDCC 65282, VDDCI 850, MVDD 862, clock 1000
Memory state 2: VDCC 65283, VDDCI 950, MVDD 962, clock 2000

You should call it V4 or V3.1 since the version "V3" I downloaded before didn't work and people already has it.

thanks anyway.. I will send some eth. once I'll mine :-)

The same issue with RX580 8Gb Samsung ("Bios is UNKNOW, card may get damaged after flashing") here:
