2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ARBITRAGE: Bitstamp -> CEX.IO - Proof of Concept on: June 19, 2017, 10:20:10 PM
Arbs only happen, of course, in times of high volatility. Otherwise - the markets are very well optimised given the number of bots operating.

The "arb" from exchange to OTC remains open though! And some currency pairs into OTC

Good Luck

Its an interesting concept for sure.

In the UK we have propertypartner.co where people can buy "shares" of a property development where there is a secondary market to "trade" these shares. As far as I am aware these operate under a SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle) and act as almost derivatives for the "share" of the property.

You are effectively buying shares in the SPV and the SPV owns the property.

100% this could work.

On a personal note I couldnt see why anyone would invest in property through crowd-funding. Property investment is attractive because of the structured leverage. But that is a discussion for another day haha

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Invest in ETH or ETC? on: June 17, 2017, 11:30:15 PM
Clearly the adoption of ETH has far out-paced ETC, the rise has been down to the scale of real-world application that is being seen - especially with nearly all upcoming ICO's using the ETH framework.

ETH as a brand is certainly stronger with big MNC's showing that interest. I cant see ETC taking the mantle from ETH without a drastic event that truly comprises ETH.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin getting huge in South Korea on: June 17, 2017, 11:23:50 PM
Has anyone had success in registering with any of the large KOR exchanges while being abroad. I failed with Bitkor on count of not having a Korean bank account

Japan has seen some huge arbs open up too
