1  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hashflare, withdraw o reinvest? on: December 23, 2017, 02:50:32 PM
I would suggest withdrawing instead of reinvesting but it is up to your discretion.
2  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can I Trust Hashflare.io ? on: December 23, 2017, 02:36:50 PM
Hashflare.io does not instill confidence in its users at all. I have a bad feeling about this service now that they have a high minimum withdraw. Why can't their users just pay the higher fee and withdraw whenever they want? I hope they are implementing user-selectable fees.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The simple reason bitcoin will never be a currency on: December 21, 2017, 04:29:30 AM
It was working just fine as a currency until the blocks got massively congested. Edit: It did have price stability issues, but otherwise worked well.
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: If you knew Bitcoin would never change in value, would you buy it? on: December 21, 2017, 04:09:11 AM
I would because it is nice to have a form of money that you control. I think it would be popular even if stable but it would take a lot longer to be adopted. The greed in this market is insane at the moment and driving the price.
5  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling my 42T/H hashflare mining contract on: December 21, 2017, 04:03:11 AM
Probably would do better in the "marketplace" part of the forum.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of Electroneum on: December 15, 2017, 03:28:47 PM
This is one of the coins I've been hearing a lot about as well.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best decentralised exchange? on: December 14, 2017, 11:13:54 PM
Bitshares is pretty cool and operates as a decentralized exchange. Waves too.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: will they ever be a a system like antminer on: December 14, 2017, 10:08:07 PM
As long as there are new algorithms there will be opportunities to mine with a GPU. It takes a very established and profitable algorithm to get ASICs built for it since it takes a significant investment. This could change but not in the foreseeable future. FPGAs can be applied to many algorithms I think but it requires a lot of skill to program.

There have been ASICs for Scrypt (Litecoin) and probably coming for Ethereum.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Noob ETH Mining Questions on: December 14, 2017, 09:45:38 PM
Is mining btc still profitable?

It is profitable but only with the latest ASICs. You cannot profitably mine Bitcoin with a GPU. But you can mine other cryptocurrencies with a GPU.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Eobot guide needed 2 on: December 14, 2017, 07:34:53 PM
Cloud mining has been notoriously shady unfortunately. Also if you are spending Bitcoin to mine Bitcoin that's almost always a losing prospect with rising Bitcoin difficulty and price.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is banner advertising effective for ICO's? on: December 14, 2017, 04:25:53 PM
If its on a quality site then I am sure banner ads are helpful.
12  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Good exchange to start buying cryptocurrencies? on: November 27, 2017, 03:58:24 PM
I've had good experiences with Poloniex for a broad range of cryptocurrencies and CoinBase for the more mainstream cryptocurrencies.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Hack? on: November 23, 2017, 12:39:10 AM
There is a difference between "Bitcoin getting hacked" and a "Bitcoin service provider being hacked". Its important to distinguish between the two.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally got Bitcoin exposure in my TFSA (Canadian eh) on: November 22, 2017, 09:19:55 PM
Congratulations my Canadian friend. Tax-free savings accounts that support Bitcoin are very cool! Good luck to you sir.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Salary In My Country Less Than 1 Millibitcoin on: November 22, 2017, 08:51:52 PM
Very interesting!  In the US we have more expensive cost of living and our minimum wage varies from state to state but if we use the federal minimum wage ($7.25) and an 8 hour work day that is $58/day or roughly 7 millibitcoin per day at current prices. Over 30 days would be 212 millibitcoin per month but that is assuming a person worked every day with out taking weekends or other time off.
