If there will be a real existing, appealing product big investors will start to think about SONM. MVP is fine too since investors have something to evaluate. Let’s wait for 25.12.  |

Just my personal opinion.
I think we will see a lot of altcoins dying in the next couple of years, because there is a lot of bullshit which you dont really need or just hyped, but there are also a few projects which can be huge and can help us in the future.
I dont now which one will win this competition ( Sonm, Golem or maybe companies like Google will create they own ? ) but I am sure, this idea and technology will be needed, just think about
artificial intelligence or other fields like this.
I willing to hold my coins for years ( when the devs are making progress like now ) and I am not selling under $ 40 per coin, sounds crazy because a lot of you guys are saying words like " but it would be bigger as ethereum" -----> NO, because other projects are also growing, but in my opinion, this whole crypto market will grow heavily in the next years, I have read it could reach something like 5 Trillion until 2025, and if we have only 100-200 surviving coins, it will be divided between these.
But I am not saying that sonm will reach this goal ( marketcap ), but I think that the winner of this competition will be reach it, maybe it is sonm, maybe golem.
And some people here just dont have any patience, sure, 5-7 years is a long time, but how many investments do you know where you can become a millionaire in just 5-7 years and willing to lose the money of a small car, I am not only speaking about sonm rather in general.

I agree! IMO 99% will die. Time will come when projects will be evaluated like “normal start-ups”. Reasons why projects fail: 1. No need 2. Ran out of cash 3. Wrong team 4. Get outcompeted 5. Pricing 6. Poor product 7. bad business model 8. Poor marketing 9. Ignore customers 10. wrong time for product 11. lose focus 12. disharmony team 13. lack passion 14. bad location 15. No financing / partnership interest 16. Legal challenges 17. Don’t use Network /advisors 18. Burn out In the interest of SONM and in the community interest we should question these points ever and ever again. You can’t compare Golem and SONM. I’m sorry to say but if you still compare Golem with SONM you did not understand SONM business model deeply. For SONM’s versioned product I absolutely see need. IMO SONM business model clearly outperforms Golem, IExec, Grid and so on. However actually there is nearly nothing. Maybe this will change on 25.12. I can’t say often enough “seeing is beliving!” Till now everything could be nothing. So download the MVP software and check! Provide your opinion! SONM: Please provide easy installation also for non tech people. You are right companies like Google could do same. That is why SONM has to be fast and smart. At some point it is easier and cheaper for big corporations to cooperate. “NO, because other projects are also growing ........”: Time will tell. Everything changes fast right now. The winner takes it all! |

Today I talked to IT-Infrastructure admin from the academy of sciences (good country) about SONM. They didn’t know about SONM but there was big interest. I hope they will sign as supplier (they have quite good supercomputers there self) and customer. Especially as customer they could help to shape the system for more science institutions. They have high demand for computing power and it gets more and more complicate to hold step with demand.
This could be a win win situation.

Agree! Today’s crypto hype is so prevalent plus SONM’s field of business so promising that I expect to see 2-3$ soon. Yes and consequently SONM has to pass Golem. However I will hold. I want to have access to extensive computational power. This is market with strongest growth. |

Once we have the MVP in hands (seeing is believing) SNM should overrun GNT quickly. SONM shows stronger progress plus since SONM develops infrastructure it has much higher chance to be one of today’s blockchain projects that will survive. I push my thumbs that SONM is here to stay.

My personal feeling is that even most people within this forum did not realize till now that most software including Blockchain projects could run as virtual machines on SONM-Network. Even your personal computer could be a virtual one within SONM-Network. Wherever you are your super computer will be. I personally see countless use cases.
On the other hand we as community should start to think about possibilities on top of SNM-price. Since soon we can buy computation at relative low costs, we could collectively solve some real computation problems which today only big corporations can afford.

Yes off curse! Every use case is welcomed and game streaming is a promising market. In this case SONM theoretically could be host, payment-system provider, currency and computation supplier in one.

As I understand, the team is working. But the price of their tokens is low. Obviously reason of that is growing of BTC. How do you think, if BTC wouldn't grow so fast, what the price of SNM might be?
I understand your point. That is why I wrote in my previous post, that SONM has to use current BTC-hype. SONM needs to uncouple its value from BTC. People need to know that SONM-project is something worth even if Bitcoin would fail. Time will come when all these new people will look for alternative investments in crypto space. Therefor more people need to know that SONM has the right to exist. Simply, because there is real need for computation. Network effects! |

Look at it this way guys, if you invested in some ICO say SONM back in June you obviously didn't have the investor insight then that BTC can go to $18K this winter(I mean I didn't have that insight), meaning you were destined to spend your BTC investing into some ICO which ultimately would have provided you with less gains than simply holding your BTC.
This is your view. In my opinion BTC is to risky now. There can be huge gains but also huge losses. At this moment I prefer smaller but justified growth. |

To SONM
I like your big picture. Having this vision in mind, I think it comes with consequences. You need to develop, grow and innovate at a relatively high speed since today’s investors expect wonders and Blockchain-Industry forming process strongly gains momentum.
Actually you only can sell the vision. However with your first product you set the way.
SONM-project needs to be recognized by as much people as possible. You have to take advantage out of todays Bitcoin hype. Explain non-tech guys that SONM has the right to exist. That SONM is 3rd generation Blockchain technology that offers a good alternative to other projects inkl. Bitcoin. In my opinion even simple but still informative hand drawn cartoons are beneficial to gain interest and to fulfil crypto-investor needs.
In my view SONM consists of two parts that you have to combine, build and sell well. Currency (Store of value/SNM) and Computation (Data processing, storage, smart Network).
- Currency: SNM is a store of value like BTC. But since you are 3rd generation Blockchain technology, you offer more. Improvements in functionality and security …. (private home side-chain, specific multi-sig.).
- Computation market is easy to see since computation will power the future. (And theoretically most other Blockchain-projects could run on SONM-Network since they depend on computation. SONM could even dynamically control them to increase their performance depending on their actual usage.)
One potential purpose of SONM is/could be to uncover most sustainable resource with highest intrinsic value for society. If your system could even increase “Knowledge-Mining” efficiency over time because it is, a smart, resource efficient network would be fantastic. (I like the term “Knowledge-Mining”. May be you use/protect this term).
Most computational power will be used by big companies, institutions and governments. Therefor SONM has to be an expert-system which fits to their requirements and legislation. On the other hand the same expert system has to be so easy that even my grandmother is able to handle it and to get some benefit out of it, by providing/receiving power respectively SNM. Digital support systems (Bot) could be nice since I believe that could be standard soon and people don’t want to spend time but still part.
Lokation: I clearly understand your today’s points but it could be a limiting factor at some point. My view: You need high MarketCap to get recognized and to hold step with the speed. Since investment money in crypto space is highly mobile location plays a role. In some ore the other way you need have another location too. Take advantage out of this fact.

I think price is actively traded down by trading-bots. Fees are quite low at binance so bots can trade effective. However, I think it is a good sign that some people decided to trade SNM using there bots. And as you can see they are accumulating SNM.
Also be realistic. Why price should be much higher right now? SONM is a start-up not an established company. They are actually worth a lot (46.7 Mio.). Once we see first products price will go up. Further cooperation partners and exchanges will also help to build trust to potential big investors. Trust into business idea and team is one thing. But finally,,, seeing is believing.

If you want to see higher price you have to create network effects. As more people know SONM, its goals and its market potential as higher price will go.
Plus if SONM can build up even more trust it can go top 10. SONM Business model is good. However soon we need working product with god use experience. It is an extrem fast market.

Easy boys wild ride starts soon  we all know that if u buy now, its impossible that u can loose..  I hope so because I've switched all my Golem into SONM when it was nearly ATH, so at the moment it wasn't a good decision. But I will wait for sure as patience is the key, I've learned that many times in crypto. I am in both GNT and SNM but have more of my stock with SNM, I do believe they can make it first in this field. correct. i even have ,ore SNM in my holding and only a few GNT. just note that SNM never failed to update us, they are already starting with the development, i also think that SNM is a sleeping giant. so just dont worry and have more patience. How long do we have to wait til this giant wake up? Its been ages already and the only price movement I saw was bearish. nov 29th we'll see a bump probably after the convention, maybe back to 25-30 cents, it might go back down after that to around 15-20 cents, or it might stay at that level, and at the end of december we'll probably get another one to 40-50 cents, which might drop down back to 30 cents, but the real big boom is scheduled for august when their network goes live, we'll be looking at 1$ in our rear view mirror. Higher then 1$ august next year? Anyone else thinks this is possible? Could be possible. But it is a process. First SONM-Team successfully has to release first working product. In my opinion this will be the real initial time point of SONM-Project. Afterwards they can optimise their Network, implement further applications … In midterm I hope one of the focuses is to build an appealing system which even non gigs can easily use. I think that this is already a trend - to hunt for free computing powers at homes. Or not free, to overbuy it. We will see more projects on this field in the comming months.
And why would someone need such a huge computing power unless he works for nasa?I dont get why we would need a super computer Why someone needs a car with 200hp? If you need strong computational power, it would be nice to have a simple one-click method. If you don’t, simply run your own system. Need comes with price. And there already is a massive need for more affordable computation power. Your total data-consumption will grow for sure too. 4k, 8k … You should think what would be possible having final-final product. Why your smart TV needs to do any calculation except receiving Network calculation/data? Your smart TV could be ultra light. You don’t have to be really creative to see example of potential use cases. However for now everything depends on Team and first products and decisions. |
