1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Media is negative about Bitcoin? on: February 08, 2018, 05:16:52 PM
Whenever a government announces to regulate bitcoin or cryptocurrency or whenever BTC price is in downfall, most of the media start to warn everyone not purchase or invest in Bitcoins.
https://www.bitex.in/a-class-of-indian-media-unnecessarily-damaging-bitcoin-reputation/

What is the reason for doing this? Do they intentionally do this so that even they can invest in Bitcoin and make some profit?

First thing that came to my mind when I heard anything that involves the media writing negative articles is the only one reason: "they were paid to do so."
We can't really trust the news that we've heard, read and see because politics have reached journalism. They write what they are being paid to write and there's only a handful of journalists who really spread the truth and practice real journalism. Most of the times they report anything that are current and trending without further investigation not knowing the impact it can cause.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin uptrend now? on: January 24, 2018, 06:13:58 PM
market is green today. Do you think the uptrend is coming?
Do I should invest some?

You should have bought during the down trend and not in the up trend. Cryptocurrency investing is the opposite of a stoplight in streets. When the trend indicates Red that is the time for you to Go and invest and not the other way around. Recently, the trend of bitcoin is really fluctuating and seasoned traders are taking advantage of it. It seems to me like they are playing with the current trend that's why it won't reach to $12K again.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do some government ban bitcoin? on: January 24, 2018, 05:43:38 PM
I See topics about banning and I want to ask.

Is botcoin really that bad? To banned by other countries?
Do the other government in other countries see something bad?

Hmmm, I don't think being bad is why bitcoin is being banned in other countries but rather due to its decentralized feature. Who runs a country? Yes, the government. And where do they get their funds? Right, from our taxes. People are gaining good profits from bitcoin and they can keep it all to themselves. In a normal situation where we earn something, the government is entitled to a percentage of what we have earned. So you see, they are banning it mostly because they cannot regulate it. Btc being used in illegal activities are just additional reason.

Can bitcoin be used to locate us?and see what we are doing? In short a Spyware.

I'm not sure about spyware, though.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? on: January 21, 2018, 10:57:33 AM
is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? anyhow this money sits in the bank and do nothing for!

Of course it is. Anything that involves investing money are risky that is why we have to really think things throroughly. Unless you are a huge risk taker and wants sone adventure in life then go ahead and invest your money. Just like what they say, you have to take the first step to move forward. Besides, we only live once so might better take any chances in life so you won't regret any thing and live your life on what ifs.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This guy has lost 103 Bitcoins on: January 08, 2018, 04:49:07 AM
This guy has lost 103 bitcoins he mined back in 2011 and then lost his wallet dat file similar to what I have done but wow this guy must be gutted the amount of money he has lost compared to me

His Address    166BuLPWHUjqoqiYp5rGE3B5r5AmqgHpoL    Final Balance   103.20832384 BTC

So many people have the same problem and I wonder just how much Bitcoin is stuck not being able to be used Sad

He says "I used to mine Bitcoin back in 2011 and I lost my wallet.dat file (through several stupid moves on my part). It's got approx 103 BTC in it, anyone is welcome to it, I've given up trying."

https://cointelegraph.com/news/up-to-four-million-bitcoins-gone-forever

It says up to 4 million. So that guy who lost his 103 is another statistics. Really just sad though to see someone lost a lot of money because they either don't believed that bitcoin will skyrocketed or they are just plain stupid and not backing up everything and literally throw their money away.

Can you share more about the story though? Is this a new story or an old one because we have seen a lot of people losing their bitcoins. If will be really good if you can give us a link or something.

I'd go crazy if I lose even 5BTC I wonder how those people who lost hundreds of btc is coping up for their losses. We should all learn a lesson or two from these scenarios. No matter how we keep it safe from hackers it is still in our hands how we handle our coins. Losing private keys, necessary files to open our wallet and/or even accidentally throwing out hardware that contains our btc are definitely in our hands. Don't be complacent and think that your coins are safely tucked somewhere in your house especially if someone in your home (wife, children and even your maids!) can have access to it and they have no idea what it contains.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Is this the end for bitcoins ? on: January 07, 2018, 04:03:22 PM
Very recently I read an article , which assumed bitcoins to be exactly like the Dutch tulip mania , the Mississippi bubble and the south sea bubble.

The author of that article (which was published in the economic times ) said it's now time to move away from bitcoins , the market has ended and the sooner you forfeit the lesser will be your loss.

What do you guys think about it ?

I doubt that. Have you seen the trend right now? BTC is starting to get back on its track after some massive corrections. If we are to study the previous years' trend you will notice that the same trend is happening. BTC starts the year in a low value then starts to gain momentum as the months pass by. It's true that people are looking for better opportunities in alts but we can't deny the fact that even if that is the case, btc is still very much alive since before we can buy any alts we still have to purchase btc or eth. For me, btc will still continue to thrive.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is It advisable to quit my present job for bitcoin? on: January 06, 2018, 10:21:41 AM
Bitcoin trading these days has become so rucreative that I am tempted to quit my present job which is not giving me enough time to explore more out of bitcoin world...

What's your take on this, should I go ahead and quit?

Thanks

You should ask yourself that, really. Only you can answer whether it's time to quit your job at this point. But for me, if you currently have a stable job don't just quit and make trading a hobby. You have to keep in mind that nothing's permanent even in bitcoin trading. Years ago there are instances that trading isn't profitable.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Social Media Influence bitcoin growth? on: January 05, 2018, 02:11:01 PM
Does Social Media Influence bitcoin growth?

It definitely did. We all know how people nowadays are being influenced by social media. One post can go viral and before you know it, everyone in every part of the world have possibly seen that post. Bitcoin or the whole cryptocurrency definitely went viral inside the social media world and since it involve money or earnings, people are easily caught up in it. They started talking about it and the next thing we know, the number of crypto enthusiasts became massive. I'm just not sure if this can be healthy for the btc community or not since a lot of new users are really unaware of how things are in this community.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: 30,000 for the brilliant end of 2017? on: December 17, 2017, 03:28:42 PM
Hello ppl, what do you think, we will pass the threshold of 30,000?

Definitely! But maybe sometime in March of 2018 and not the end of this year. But I'm not saying I won't be happy if that happens, I might do a happy dance if I see my btc grew that much within just 2 weeks. But if we are being realistic here I think we will be stuck somewhere between $21K to $22K by the end of 2017.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: regret by not believing in BITCOIN? on: December 15, 2017, 07:18:04 AM
who among you here heard bitcoin back in 2009 and 2010? I was one of the people who is very skeptical about it and I really regret it. Sad I missed the best opportunity for a lifetime.

Honestly, I just heard about bitcoin just very recently. My regret cannot be compared to yours since you have the chance at an early stage. But nonetheless, we're both regretful for missing an opportunity. I came upon hearing btc from my friends earlier this year but since I'm busy with my work and everyday life I didn't mind it at first. It took me almost 5 months before realizing it's worth. So to make up for the time lost, though it's not that long compare to those who waited years before acknowledging it, I started to give studying btc more time. During my breaks, or any moment that I can sneak in understanding btc more I always grab the opportunity. I may not be like most of the people here who are more knowledgeable especially the technical aspects of btc but I am pretty confident that I understand it to the best of my knowledge. And I am hoping to learn more about it during my time in this forum as I've heard that this is the best place to learn more in cryptocurrency. It's not too late for anyone like me who are newbie as long as we put in more dedication and passion.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to eliminate unemployment. on: December 12, 2017, 06:24:21 AM
Almost every country has unemployment problems. There are many young boys who are working unemployed. But the days of settling their turn are over. Now, if you wish, you can earn a lot of money sitting in the house. Bitcoin can earn their unemployment by earning. It can be possible to improve the country by improving their lives by earning bitcoin. That is why Bitcoin among all Habetahale to spread the knowledge of the second day will increase the demand for Bitcoin.

There is no way btc can eliminate unemployment in any country. First of all, if you turn to btc because you are unemployed your chances of earning is just slim even if you have the skill set to offer in the community. The competition is tough just like in the real world where we earn fiat. There's still no guarantee that you can land a job where you can earn btc. If you are referring to earning btc by managing/joining campaigns and other related services offered in this forum then it's like finding a needle in a haystack. There are just a handful of services available while there are lots of participants who's aiming to get in one. Then let's not also forget the fact that it's not everyday that there's new project that needs the campaign services to introduce themselves.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin or Ethereum on: December 07, 2017, 06:24:09 AM
I want to buy some coins. Now the Btc price is around 10000$.best thing is buy btc or ethereum now

Why not have both of them instead of choosing only one? Both are good coins and even though the price of btc right now is too high, if you purchased back then when you posted this (7 days ago) you'll have almost $5k in profit for 1BTC. That's a really good profit, wouldn't you think? As for Eth it is also a good coin next to btc so your investment will be safe either you invest in any of them but you'll have greater chance if you try both.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is making us money while we sleep, people! on: December 06, 2017, 09:16:33 AM
Bitcoin Price Tears Beyond $9,750 - Setting the new record all-time high.

That's probably it, bitcoin is making us money from thin air...
Bitcoin is making us rich doing nothing literally Grin
Do you agree with me? share your thoughts

That's right. And we've even break the $12K mark as of the moment so it's really amazing that we are making money by doing nothing but to believe in BTC's potential and just checking how much value of our coins in our digital wallet. It's like investing in something better than any other assets in the world. Our money working for us and all. It seems like we are experiencing some of the luxury of waking up and gaining hundred bucks overnight.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons You Shouldn't Buy Bitcoins on: December 03, 2017, 07:56:44 AM
I thought you came here to list all the reasons why we should not buy bitcoin with your title and I was so ready to hit you back. Grin
If you are happy with the way the traditional banking system has been working, the way you have been enslaved all these while, do not value your financial freedom and you are scared to take a little volatility risk, then bitcoin is obviously not for you.
I guess I just listed the reasons you should buy after all. Anyone who is looking for reasons not to buy bitcoin in the first place rather than looking for all the benefits blockchain technology brought with it, then they had rather just stay away.

This statement is pretty much spot on in my opinion. Cryptocurrency as a whole have lots to offer and if people want to live their lives as it is, like working multiple jobs but salary still not enough to get by then they really should steer away from btc and any other crypto. As for me, they only reason why I shouldn't buy bitcoins is because there are ways to get it for free. I can offer online jobs and ask for btc as payment which are really possible nowadays especially if you have the skills needed to do online jobs.
15  Economy / Speculation / Re: is this a point of no return 10K on: November 29, 2017, 01:54:10 PM
So the world wide hype machine kicks in, money floods in, goes to 20, 30, 40 K corrects back to 15 or 25K, or do you think we will see a deep correction soon back to say 7000 or something?

Long term I am 100K to 1 M all the way but interested to know your thoughts.

The value of BTC during this last week of November is really quite staggering as we have some setbacks during the 'BCH issue' and I never expected BTC to surpass the $10K mark before December. I was really amazed as how we are going now and I do believe that this is just a start of a great journey. I wonder if we will really see 1M but for the next 2 to 3 years I believe that it's possible we'll be in on 100K. And yeah, before all of this go to a really high value there will always be little up to major corrections, which are really normal and is part of the cycle. Considering all things (attacks and/or whales' price manipulation), maybe we will be back to as low as 6K before we rally to 15K.
