5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] CryptogenicBullion (CGB) RELOADED! 1M Cap: ~ 5 HRS TILL SUBSIDY HALVES! on: July 31, 2013, 09:58:52 PM
look nice! good luck

July 30th, 2013 Update:

Please download the updated clients below. Also a couple of changes have been made to take preventative measures against what recently occurred with CAP. Finally, the block rewards have been extended to allow for a 1/2% yearly inflation after 1 million CGB are mined - at a rate of 0.01 CGB per block:
  • DNS seeds have been enable and DNS records have been created which resolve to 6 trusted nodes (we will add more soon)
  • Checkpoints added
  • Added reward of 0.01 CGB after 1 million coins are mined (comes out to 1/2% yearly inflation)
.

Hello all,

     It has been a chaotic first couple weeks in existence for Cryptogenic Bullion! The primary dev left the team after creation and launch and it was then realized that some of the requested specs would not be met by the code. Namely the intent for the 1 million CGB to be mined over a 10 year period. Due to the 60 sec block time and reward of 10 Bullion per block, the full amount would have been mined in a few months! Obviously this created some issues and I did not feel comfortable with a full force continued launch and promotion. Good news is that I have brought in another dev to the team to help out. I have now extended the welcome to this individual, who at the moment wishes to remain anonymous, to be a 50% owner of CGB. This individual has been instrumental in making the changes and improvements outlined below:

  • Subsidy halving after every 50k blocks
  • New security checkpoints added
  • Fix for the checkpoint too old warning
  • QA tested and approved
~ Team CGB

What does this mean for you?
Please make sure to download the new binaries before block 50k (currently at ~ block 28k so you have a few weeks)

Trading:
CryptogenicBullion is traded at the following exchanges:

@Cryptsy
https://www.cryptsy.com/markets/view/70

@Coins-e
https://www.coins-e.com/exchange/CGB_BTC/

Miners:
  • Subsidy will remain 10 bullion per block until block 50k at which time it will halve to 5 bullion per block. This halving will continue every 50k blocks for eternity
  • Get your miners pointed to CGB and take advantage of the high block subsidy while available. Remember, total will not surpass 1 million so scarcity is a major player here

18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Have I been hacked? how? on: July 07, 2013, 08:05:07 PM
Hi

I'm not that newbie, or at least i thought so, but I think I have been hacked and I wondered if someone can hint on how.

I used my account in blockchain.info for satoshidice gambling from address 16io8zfbhStqe9WVdHN3JLzc29D73okaoy.
On Saturday, 45 minutes after a the last satoshidice transactions, an unknown transaction emptied my wallet.

First, I assume I have nothing to do with it and the coins were lost, correct?
Second, can anyone help me understand what happened? I used blockchain.info both on my computer and my Android smartphone.

Thanks, Haim

What the fuck !
