oh sorry, also the unit would have to be shipped out by 7/19/2013 by Avalon to make it useful, so if that is not possible, I am not interested in a bid.

105 BTC and I would also need escrow, Confirmation from Avalon directly that everything is above-board in the transaction and they have shipped out the unit via DHL next day express with the appropriate forms and requirements. Once avalon has confirmed the unit + it has been shipped out by avalon via DHL next-day, I can release the escrow.
I think this is similar to what you said other than the actual ship-out happening. I will take the risk on the US customs side so long as avalon has supplied the correct documentation.
where does avalon ship from?

i don't understand why these companies are selling the ASICs, they should just be building farms and selling shares, much more profitable and less hassle with "customers"

They need to clearly represent the units take over 6 mos (at least) to turnaround. Based on the progression of the difficulty level, people would not buy the units as the smaller ones will be mostly obsolete by the time they arrive. Unless they have already ordered/received the ASICs for your unit, I don't believe they can make any claim of damage or costs incurred. CC is safer because you can dispute easily (AMEX the best, they side with consumer almost 100% of the time).
