3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAMBO][ANN] LAMBOCOIN 🏆🏆🏆 DAILY GIVEAWAYS 🏆🏆🏆 on: December 14, 2017, 08:05:44 PM
Hahaha this is so hilarious:) It does sound like a joke, but I also read that someone is mining the s*** out of this coin so not all that funny business after all.

Hope you do get that LAMBO though I think you deserve it:)

They should reimburse their users with their proceeds for the next couple of months. Just like BTC-e is doing with WEX.nz and tokens. It would be the right thing to do and once people are paid in full most people will have forgotten this incident.
5  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 09-Dec-2017] on: December 13, 2017, 10:08:22 AM
Wouw this information is quite impressive. Thank you so much for all your hard work in putting this list together. I like how I am able to find signature campaigns for newbie members without having to go through 3 pages of bounty posts like I have been used to  Cheesy
6  Economy / Exchanges / Re: WEX.nz on: December 13, 2017, 09:59:17 AM
Looking for advice on what to do with my tokens on WEX.

I am wanting to get all my accounts withdrawn.

Curious to know what others are doing with those tokens?

You have two options, hold them or sell them.

Others have either been holding them or selling them.

I traded my tokens for the real thing. Only losing about 6 coins over all.

I traded all my LTC for LTCET and hope they will be worth 1:1 LTC at some point in time during the next two years. Ratio is only 54,2% at the moment. If they indeed does redeem all the coins 1:1 I will have gained quite a lot from this. But it is also a bit risky. LTCET: 14.04% has been bought back sofar. The overall exchange volume is +$150 million daily right now, so should happen fast.

I would rather call it diversifying my portfolio. If one asset where to gain a lot more than the others in the portfolio, then simply sell and buy into other alt currencies.
If you have BTC then simply buy some of alt currencies so the total weight of say BTC is equal to the ratio in the portfolio you wish.
8  Other / Politics & Society / What happens with your crypto assets if you die? on: December 09, 2017, 08:09:11 PM
As the value in $ for my portfolio keeps going up lately I have started thinking about the somewhat not unlikely scenario that I might end up dying before my son and wife.

If I where to die today all the funds I have in crypto would go to the eternal blockchain heaven and never return, as I have made no explanation or documentation as to how to access my funds.

But I am also in the dilemma that I do not want to write down too much information that could be used by burglars etc. if they got a hold of it.

Maybe a Nano S. in a bankbox with a written letter and the codes how to access them?

I guess my wife would never understand how to do it and my son is only 14 months, so it would have to be when he becomes of age. In that time there may be multiple splits in various alt currencies also which perhaps will be lost in the process? I just can not think of a better way to safeguard my assets after my death.

Anyone have any alternatives?

Yes, this is so annoying. Lose the unit with the Google Auth and you are in trouble if you have not made a backed up the codes. I have Google Auth on my phone and on my iPad. That way if one dies I will have the other.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: my MyEtherWallet/account was emptied on: December 09, 2017, 07:46:31 PM
I always hate reading these stories:( The lessons learned are brutal in crypto. A month after I started researching and trading cryptocurrencies I ordered a Ledger Nano S. That is a hardware wallet and it was cheaper than I thought it would have been.

With the Nano S. you can connect to MEW and use that interface. The fancy thing is that you must physically press a button on the Nano S. to approve any transaction. That way someone cannot steal your coins unless he:
1) Steal your Nano S. and guess the pin code (up to 8 digits) in max three tries at which point it gets locked
2) Get a hold of your recovery phrases which you should have written down on a piece of paper (24 words).

I have ordered 2 more Nano S. and am going to clone the one I have and place them at my family in case there is a fire or something else in my apartment. Only thing that keeps me nervous is the 24-word recovery phrases I have on a paper. Where to store that safely.. hmm.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops not coming to my address (rookie here) on: December 09, 2017, 07:33:50 PM
Don’t worry friend I have also signed up for 10 airdrops or so. So far, I have gotten airdrop from one of them and 4 others did not Sad If you have Telegram there is a lot that gives airdrop to participants in their channels. I made the mistake of not having set a @username. I thought it was just my display name in the channel I should submit. Because of that I missed most of them.

Wouw this is really impressive! And for that low price as well. I tried cryptotrader months ago and first you have to pay a montly payment and on top of that you have to rent a strategy! I got my homework cut out for me. Going to read all replies and this thread and likely giving this a go:)
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★[ANN] [NAV] NAV COIN - NAVTECH NOW DECENTRALIZED! on: December 02, 2017, 03:25:20 PM
I got 400 NAV coins but really would like that nav pi in order to stake. But I guess I need a lot more coins if you calculate the cost of the pi/reward. Such a cool project so hoping coins will improve in value and then it will be worth it for me to buy the nav pi Smiley
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Change rules in bounty programs. on: December 01, 2017, 07:28:52 AM
It gives the ICO such a bad taste if they change the bounty rules. Does anyone remember the Author ICO bounty campaing? It was everywhere I looked due to people got 75 coins just for signing up! But turns out they changed the rules so you could only get the paid out if it was above some said amount basically screwing the average Joe.
